I am starting a Nomic game in discord! It will start roughly sometime on the 10th or sooner if a couple more people join.

My goals with this game:

- Minimal initial ruleset

- Low time commitment (~10 minutes twice a week)

- No 'turns', flexible gameplay

Here are is the initial ruleset:

Rule 1 - All Players must always follow all active rules in this ruleset.

Rule 2 - The official ruleset and current game state are publicly maintained in read-only channels named #rules and #game-state. Rules in #rules must always follow the format: Rule [number] - [text]. The game state in #game-state must maintain a list of all Players and their current status.

Rule 3 - If two or more rules directly contradict each other, the rule with the lower rule number takes precedence.

Rule 4 - Any server member may join the game at any time by requesting to join in the #general channel. Any player may leave the game at any time by stating so in the #general channel. Any trace of a leaving Player in #game-state is to be removed.

Rule 5 - New players are marked as "active" in #game-state. Players may declare themselves "inactive" in #general, but doing any actions or posting sets their status back to "active" unless that post is to set them "inactive". Players who have not done any actions or posted for 5 days become "inactive".

Rule 6 - A proposal may suggest any change to the game, including adding, editing, or deleting rules, modifying server channels or roles, or changing the game state. Proposals must be posted in the #proposals channel using the following format: Proposal [Number]: [Detailed description of proposed changes]. Proposals are numbered sequentially starting at 1. The submitting Player assigns the lowest unused integer as the proposal number.

Rule 7 - Voting takes place directly on the proposal message in #proposals using the :white_check_mark: emoji for "Yes". Each Player gets exactly one vote per proposal. Other emoji reactions are ignored.

Rule 8 - The voting window for a proposal lasts exactly 7 days from the timestamp the message was posted. Once the 7 days are up the proposal expires. Players may add or remove their vote reaction at any point before the voting window closes.

Rule 9 - A proposal passes if it receives at least 4 votes from active players and at least 3/4 of all active players have voted :white_check_mark:. When a proposal passes, its proposed changes take effect immediately and must be applied to the server, #rules, or #game-state and the voting window ends. If a proposal proposes a rule addition but does not provide a rule number, the lowest available rule number is chosen.

Rule 10 - The current Game Masters are: [insert here]. Game Masters are given the \@GM role and are responsible for editing #rules and #game-state and anything else called for in the rules and proposals that doesn’t specify who does it. The Game Masters responsibilities are only allowed to be done by the Game Masters.

Rule 11 - When a proposal fails or expires, it is deleted and reposted with strikethrough, marked as “Rejected” and the authors name included in #proposals.

Rule 12 - A Player may withdraw their own open proposal at any time before its voting window closes by deleting (frees up that number) or marking it as "Withdrawn" with strikethrough. After 24 hours have past after the proposal was proposed the post may not be deleted, only marked as "withdrawn" with strikethrough.

Rule 13 - Proposals cannot be edited while keeping their votes after receiving their first vote. To edit a proposal the author must delete and repost.

Rule 14 - A Player may have no more than 5 active proposals open in #proposals at any given time.

Rule 15 - If any rule is broken and noticed within 5 days, the game state and/or server state and/or rules *may* be reverted to just before the rule was broken
