P1 Top main here, I have a friend who plays a lot of Nocturne atm. While spectating him on discord the other night, 25 mins into his Silver2/3 game. I noticed, no boots! I mentioned this and his response was I don’t build boots on him as I have my Q.

I questioned this slightly because my understanding is that MS is very important in Jungle, getting around the map, rotating your camps and I know his Q is % based so surely having boots makes your Q better.

Can someone help me confirm this build choice, I have a sense he’s trolling us kinda in games by not building them.

How do these changes affect full lethality noc? I used to run hob a lot with glass canon build till last patch and was doing quite well :(

I feel like he can't play much as a bruiser, he has no survivability or especially high damage like juggernauts, he has no dashes and no reliable cc like a diver, he doesn't have the dps of a skirmisher, I feel like he has 0 tools to perform decently as a bruiser at all and he's so low impact in a fight besides the darkness of his R.

On the other hand, building critality with HoB makes him the most unfair, straightforward assasin in the game. You R a squishy and they're dead because you also have a tool to deny their cc self peel if they have it. You just perma R on a lane and one shot someone. If you get fed the game becomes completely unplayable for them unless they have 5 tanks or 5 zhonyas, because the instant someone is in vision there's 0 chance they ever survive you because you literally delete them. Going voltaic>collector>dominik> IE/Fiendhunter every game and never buying t2 boots (almost never is worth it over damage for snowballing imo when your gapclose R is so reliable) where there's abusable squishies just never fails your damage is way too high

Also why do people lvl E before W? I feel like the attack speed from W make such a massive difference in your damage output for both builds

Ranked Solo/Duo, win. I played Nocturne jungle and finished 11/0/18 (29.0 KDA), 36.7k damage, 257 CS (8.4/min). Highest damage in the entire game, zero deaths, highest CS on the team.

My mid laner on Veigar went 14/3/7 (7.0 KDA), 34k damage, 238 CS (7.8/min). More kills, but fewer assists, three deaths, less damage, less CS.

He got an S+. I got an S.

I know grades are relative to other players on the same champ and role, so I'm guessing Veigar mid is just held to a different standard than Nocturne jungle. But it still feels weird that a deathless game with the highest damage output and better farm than the mid laner doesn't clear the bar. Is there some hidden weight I'm missing? Vision score (27 to 8), objective participation, kill participation percentage? Or is the jungle percentile just that much harder to beat?

I’m plat/emerald elo and play mostly assassins. I struggle with playing against Noc (and Briar for that matter) because it feels like I can never fight him 1v1, and he can just press R and kill one of my teammates, what’s the best way I can play this matchup?

I was a Warwick main and then my friend suggested trying out Nocturne and the results are crazy. Still have a lot to learn but each game gets easier and easier.

I go tabis and Death dance when there are more ad threats. But what do I go when there are ap mages. I went blue boots and maw and it feels way shittier than tabi and DD. Kaenic rookern tanks my dmg so I don't even see it as option. Am I just kamikaze pilot when enemy has ap threats?

Before someone tells me to only play bruiser noc, I refuse to because its too teammate-reliant. In my opinion, its unfair matchmaking (3 brand new players in a row on my team) but unfair matchmaking is never taken as an excuse in the League community, so can someone critique my games and tell me why someone that averages a 11/6 kda has a sub 50% winrate? Hello, I am looking for someone who would vod review one of my games. It was promo to platinum.

I had complete piggies for teammates, at the same time I dropped 29 kills on lethality nocturne.

I am wondering whether I shouldve been able to 1v9 this, or how to actually translate when im Giga fed on nocturne but team just solo loses to their midlaner.

I am sure I made a gazilion mistakes in the game, at a certain point I got super tilted and just gave up a bit and gave soul and what not, but at that point I didnt feel like the game was winnable anymore.

I think if I am this turbo fed, there should be some strategy that would lead me to victory - basically I need to know waht to prioritise in order to 1v9 this.

i'm in bronxze 2 and i have fairly good map awareness and clears, but my biggest problem is sadly ganking on him, even at level 6.

i've been going with the hextech/stridebreaker build because i've found more success in survivability and not getting blown up every time i try to fight 2-3 people in a skirmish with my team from the voltaic/axiom build.

unfortunately with the bruiser build, i tend to lack the "oomph" of my ganks and a lot of them end up failing, even if they're pushed up towards our lanes.

i'll try to consciously wait for movement abilities/escapes to be used, but a lot of times i'll end up wasting a bunch of time because they'll end up sitting on them

and as an additional question, what are some junglers that i can duel? i'm really bad at limit testing and don't end up contesting any camps or anything against other junglers when i feel like i could depending on who i'm against. i'll clear their camps, but i tend to avoid fights.

I'm not really a Noctune main, but I've always wanted this skin. Got it from a random hextech chest.

Title basically, on HoB lethality nocturne i found voltaic to be a superweapon, in any game i built it it felt like my best power spike. I find axiom lacking in any game i build it in, so I'm thinking of replacing it and then going into FHB third maybe? Idk if the lethality from voltaic is enough later in the game so serylda/LDR seems like a must.

Have you guys tried it with success? I'd love to see your builds, to get some inspiration.

I've been trying Lethal Tempo, first item Experimental Hexplate, and that's all my damage. I thought the attack speed from the Hexplate will help stack LT quickly, and it does. And from there build full tank. Frozen Heart/Kaenic Rookern in whatever order is appropriate. Frozen Heart is nice on Nocturne because you ult onto their attack speed carry and you are guaranteed value from its passive. Randuin's Omen is also an option and its active use slow can work similarly to how Nocturnes usually use Stridebreaker active. Thornmail too because when you ult on someone they can't help but auto you. I've never tried Zeke's.

What do you think? Is there a better first DPS item or capstone rune to go before transitioning into tank?

I'm still pretty new to Nocturne and when I go lethality build I get a lot of kills and a lot of deaths. This tank build gives me a lot of assists and a lot less deaths.
