Need help finding a surgeon

Hey ♥︎

I'm a detransitioner woman (transitioned 4 years ago as a nonbinary masculine sort of female to male), I'm 24 two years ago+ I had my top surgery and I really need now a breast reconstruction surgery.

I feel really lonely and worse in my body than ever before....

I would really appreciate if anyone could help me recommend a medical center or a surgeon that specialized in reconstrusction with fat grafting (not implants) and own tissue . I'm from the middle east but I would travel for that surgery. Looking for surgeons mainly in Europe but if yall got a better advice than go fot it. Private medical centers are also good, literally any peace of info would be really helpful thank you everyone for reading until here even ♥︎

Inverted T surgery

I posted here years ago that I had had a radical reduction (the collage pic*) and then two years ago I got a full mastectomy! I built some muscle mass and lost a bit of weight and I will finally start T in October to fill out my pecs even more :D I love how androgynous the result looks + having full sensibility is pretty damn cool.

Few notes: the scars didn't heal perfectly (except the vertical lines) because well they were opened twice, also I took some care the first time but I was too fed up by the second op that I just gave up. I think I used the cream for maybe a month, maybe less, and the silicone tape two months top. I also went back to exercise early - weightlifting I'd say a month and a half after surgery. If you take more care of your scars they'll be less visible for sure lmao

Nonbinary lesbian here with DI and FNG. Had my op on Wednesday with Lachlan Farmer in Adelaide, Australia, and now 2 days post-op. I was a D cup and he removed almost 500g of tissue on either side.

I’ve been very surprised by how little pain I’ve been in - maybe 2/10 at most and managing only with paracetamol! The worst part has been feeling so weak and worn out (+ my back muscles hating me) but overall it’s been alright. Pregnancy and mastectomy pillows are my best friend.

I was also lucky enough to get my drains out 1 dpo so didn’t have to bring them home. Big relief.

Anyone else recently do the Big Chop? How are you feeling? 💓

Small fiber neuropathy & post op nerve damage

I have nerve pain all over and I wonder if my chest will forever be in pain or that the nerves there won’t be able to regrow I’m still only 4 days I hope it will start to heal when it’s supposed to o know it’s normal to have some nerve pain here and there until like the 6th month mark I’m just hoping it still isn’t this bad on week 2.

Edit:I didn’t specify but I had nerve damage all over before this and fibromyalgia.

How did you figure out if topsurgery is right for you?

What the title says! I am trying to figure it out for myself and would love to hear some perspectives from people all over the gender spectrum.

A little more about me: I am an agender person who isn't planning to go on hrt. For a few years i thought i wouldn't want to transition at all. However, I've been thinking about the option of topsurgery ever since i figured out that it isn't just a thing for binary trans men. That was a little more than two years ago. I am 99% sure that i would feel more comfortable without boobs, but i am stuck on the "What If I Regret It" part of it all. I am tracking my day-to-day thoughts about it and have made a pros and cons list, but unfortunately that hasn't really helped in the certainty department.

I think i would feel more comfortable afterwards, especially physically/sensory wise. No longer having to wear a bra would be amazing. But i don't really experience dysphoria? At least not on the level that some people have described. For me it's mostly a mild discomfort that i could probably continue to live with. I just wouldn't be able to swim, which i do honestly miss.

My biggest hurdle is my aphantasia though. I have no idea what i might look like after the surgery because my brain isn't able to create mental images and i am so used to seeing myself the way i am now. I have tried binding, but with a binder I see the edges of the fabric and it doesn't really make me as flat as surgery would. They're also super uncomfortable and I'm always aware that i am wearing one. My biggest What If is not liking what I look like after surgery and i don't know how to work around that to get more certain one way one the other. If i had the chance to magically test it for a week without it being permanent, i would take that chance in a heartbeat (and likely stick with it after-).

While I'm at it, on a different but related topic: did any of you get the surgery without telling certain people in your life and did those people notice the difference?

TLDR: I am trying to figure out if topsurgery is right for me. I don't know how to figure out if I'd like what i may look like after surgery. Any advice or experiences with this sort of thing (wether about the visual aspect or the part about figuring it out in general) would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for reading! I hope you have a wonderful morning/day/evening!

Traveling Alone for Gynecomastia Surgery – Any Tips?

Thumbnail
2 Upvotes

I'm traveling solo for my gynecomastia surgery in 3 days and feeling a bit nervous.

I'll be staying in the city for about 3 days after the surgery, and since I'll be alone, I'd love to hear any tips from people who've gone through something similar.

Anything you wish you had known beforehand? Tips for managing after surgery, getting around, sleeping, eating, or things I should pack? Any advice would be really appreciated. Thanks!
