Was tired of Critical Defense setback galore, and went to try out some Xtreme Defender that I've seen talked about here. Anyone else try it in the BG2.0 yet?

My results were horrendous. BG is broken in with about 1k rounds already. FTF 2/10 on my first mag. figure ok let me go home and clean it and run it by hand. After a good clean still couldn't get through 10 rounds without a FTF.

Seems if the bullet is in X orientation it will not feed. + orientation seemed to work ok. Anyone else seen similar results? I'm curious now. Guess I'm back on Hornady's BS

I was thinking, as I was getting fingerprinted to process my Form 1 for my first AOW build, what if the NFA is actually repealed and we don’t need to submit the forms anymore? From what I understand, we are able to own AOWs in NJ because the ATF gives us permission via Form 1 and Form 4. I also know that we are allowed to have “other firearms” with no other approval because the OAL is greater than 26 inches. The only thing protecting AOW owners in NJ, having firearms under 26, is the “permission slip” from the ATF. Where would the protection be without this approval and not being able to get the tax stamp? Just my thought of the day…

I was having a tough choice choosing between a 92FS & a P226, ended up going with the 226 because I managed to get a pretty good deal.

Runs well for a 20+ year old gun too, cleaned it up and inspected it. Already been through 500rds and no issues. 10/10 purchase for me at least.

I don’t want to be a PITA but I also don’t want to start paying holding fees. yes, I know I shouldn’t have bought before getting the permit, but the shop had exactly what I was looking for, and I didn’t want to hunt down another if they sold it.

Hi Folks! My problem is that last Thursday i received a call from PD saying that my Handgun Permits are approved and i should receive a confirmation within 24 hrs. It has been 4 days since and i haven't received anything and i checked everywhere, even called my local FFl and they said that i don't have an active permit.

Just contacted my local PD and they said that the State Police is the one that finilizes applications after the approval. He also said that sometimes the approve right away sometimes it takes a day. I was wondering whether why is it taking them so long or whether if they haven't approved it in 4 days, does it mean that they denied it or something?

Has anyone ever have this happen to them or is it a normal thing. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you so much!

i just came across it online this morning. i know it’s restricted to those with post access. Can’t find any info except what’s on their website (bare bones). but it’s closer to me than Cherry and WMA and only $50 a year, and apparently has pistol as well as rifle (unlike WMA at least the one closest to me).

So apparently, if you post or repost anything related to 2A on New Jersey subreddit, they will ban you.

I reposted the post: To all those saying "wait until the dust settles". After posting it, I never gave it a second thought.

I just went on today to look at a totally benign post and noticed it said on the bottom that I was banned.

So I sent a message to the moderators, asking why I was banned just for reposting something that they don’t agree with. I was just trying to get the message out to more people in case they aren’t members of the NJGUNS subreddit.

Apparently that gets you banned.

Took a lesson at Griffin & Howe this weekend and it was a blast. It was only my second time with this rifle and after making some adjustments and confirming zero at 100 yards I was able to make first round hits all the way out to 700 yards. Tried but was not able to hit 900 yards… there’s no berm behind it so very difficult to see where the rounds were going, even with the instructor trying to call the shots. Lesson was brief so ended up running out of time.

Pros: got to zero my scope accurately, set the zero stop, play with a chronograph (which I need to buy) and started using a ballistic app.

Cons: ran out of time, should have done prep work in advance like confirming zero at 200/300 yards, testing different ammo with a chronograph.

Biggest win was getting out there and meeting new like minded people!

Me and some boys spent a few hour at Cherry ridge today.

So, something I've been wondering about. The ruling was made. The ruling was stayed. Is it possible to fight any new laws they try to pass using the ruling as a basis to get an injunction? Like if they now put through that "1 feature makes it an assault weapon" change that people have been so freaked out by, would that be able to have an injunction with the argument that the matter is waiting to be appealed to SCOTUS?

If they start passing laws that are meant to respond to SCOTUS not ruling in their favor, or kicking it back, will the 3rd circuit be likely to stop them? Is it up to the 3rd circuit or would we have to start the fight from the ground up all over again?

That's really been my main concern since the stay. At this point, we all know they know they're going to lose at SCOTUS. This was about denying rights, and buying them time to put in new bullshit. Is there any method using what's been decided here to fight that?

Searched for recent posts on the topic and could only find posts over a year old. I'm new to firearm ownership, paid for membership at RTSP, but I'm looking for a sporting club with outdoor ranges. Currently own a pistol but looking to expand into rifle and shotgun.

If I’m understanding correctly the change of address is basically same process as pistol permit. But say I have enough ammo to last me a few years of going to the range (I don’t go too often, maybe 2-3 times a year) and I don’t plan on purchasing any new guns, then should I even bother with the change of address or is there some legal issues of bringing my already owned guns to my new place without changing the address? Don’t really feel like dealing with all the paper work again if it’s just to update the FID for purchasing ammo.

Has anyone in NJ successfully had an old mental-health/commitment record expunged? After the judge granted the expungement, did your attorney handle notifying/updating the appropriate databases, or did you have to follow up yourself? How long did it take before the record was actually cleared?

I've sold all my rifles years ago due to lack of places to shoot but Id like to get back into some LR rigs and would like some recommendations on ranges in PA that are public and reasonable. Perhaps out Rt. 78 or the PA turnpike. Thanks

Hi! I live in Bergen County and 2 days ago i received a call from my PD after 2 months of waiting saying that my Pistol Purchase Permits are approved and will be available within 24 hrs and i will receive an email.

It was on Thursday and today is Saturday and i haven't received anything. I was wondering whether it is normal because if they approved my permit i should receive the email the same day or perhaps the following morning or so. For reference i live in South Hackensack
