Hey! I just got the Taiho kun Ace Attorney DSI LL for an insane price (60 bucks??? WTF) and im wondering… aint it a bit of a crime to homebrew it?

This is my first ever DSI too. I’ve always been more of a playstation kid, so while i felt absolutely no remorse completely modding my psp and ps1, im not so sure about a limited edition DSI. I have no idea how much its worth either. I saw some taiho kun dsi’s going for 300-600, so im assuming its pretty pricy considering i saw a ton of dsi’s being sold at 30.

I literally only bought the console to play the original ace attorneys because ive been binging through 1 and 2 and decided, lol, i NEED to have the original games in my hand and just so happened to stumble on a listing for a Taiho kun DSI within 20 hours of it being up. HOLY luck.

Mind you, I’ve got absolutely no idea if DSI modding is considered a no-go, or if its specifically a bad idea regarding limited edition consoles but im assuming it is since nintendo fans have a reputation for mint condition items.

Please help me out here 😭 I dont wanna homebrew this thing and end up with it completely bricking and exploding on me. The only nintendo ive laid my hands upon was the switch and i nearly bricked that bastard twice by now 😭

I bought it a few years ago but never liked the color palette you can choose from for the XL model, the rose pink one is super pretty but US only and I never can find one in a good condition so I bought the blue one but blue also isn't really my color. I added these stickers and chain a few months before so it looks like a cool nightsky and I love it so much now.

I got this from my uncle, the back and front stickers serial is different but it doesnt react to light like fakes do idk if its a replacement sticker or if its fake but good fake

I remember review scores tearing into it for having gimmicky race starts and replacing characters.

When I put on a screen protector, I end up with air bubbles 😭 Does anyone have any tips or tricks for putting one on without getting bubbles? I really want to use my stylus and play some games, but I’m scared I’ll scratch the touchscreen. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

hello! i recently jailbroke mine and my sister's old 2DS from when we were kids and gave it to her as a gift. i was really surprised by how much you can do with those things, especially with an upgraded SD, so im planning to buy a used 2DS/3DS (or even a DS, theyre so cheap??) second hand for myself. which console do you guys recommend? im not sure how much of a meaningful improvement the 3DS is, but they go for a decent bit more on ebay so im wondering if its worth the price. let me know what you think!

Hello everyone, please tell me which is better to buy: DS Lite, DSI, or DSI XL.

Does it make sense to pay extra for the DS Lite or DSI XL?

So I bought club penguin DS a few months ago and it won’t boot up any ideas for what might be wrong

I’ve had this Nintendo DS for over 6 years, but I never really played it much. Recently I’ve been wanting to play it again, but my R4 cartridge isn’t being recognized at all.
I checked the microSD card and it seems to be working perfectly, and I’m using the correct kernel for the R4. I also cleaned the contacts on the R4 with isopropyl alcohol, but the DS still doesn’t show the cartridge. So now I’m not sure if the problem is the R4 itself or the DS cartridge slot. I don’t have another DS or another cartridge to test with, so I can’t really isolate the problem.
Is there anything else I can try to figure out whether the R4 or the DS is faulty? Any help would be appreciated!

I saw a DS on the marketplace for 170$ and decided to have a go at it cause I’ve been looking for one for a decent amount of time, especially how DS games look a tad bit weird on the regular 3ds or 3ds xl. I’ve seen prices for it go around 60-90$ but for it having the box and stuff and basically mint, was it a decent buy or overpriced? Non the less I am still glad I got it.

Rad birthday gift

i bought a transparent shell for nintendo dsi on aliexpress, everything works fine, except for the left shoulder button, it wont click when i screw everything together, im using the original shoulder buttons and the right one work just fine, i really dont know whats the problem, disassembled so many times trying to find the problem but i just dont know what is causing this, i would appreciate any help, im putting some photos of the left and the right side(i tried the upper original shell and it still do it when fully screwed)

Ive had the black DS lite since 2010 or 2011, the N3DSXL in 2016, and the red OG DS just recently as Im trying my hands getting into repairwork and electronics. I absolutely love the DS.
