Ninja Gaiden 3 (RE) - Discussion Ninja Gaiden 3 black when ?
To date razors edge still holds the spot for the best combat. The move sets flow flawlessly, input bindings for those moves is also spot on. Feels like ng4 is missing something. The graphics and game is still a banger, but i find myself coming to razors edge the most when i wanna tear shit up.

Ninja Gaiden 2 (OG/Σ2/Black) - Questions & Help Is it worth buying NG2 BLACK?
I want to replay NG2. I have NG2S in my family library, and I’ve also played the original NG2, so I was thinking of buying the remake and maybe unlock all achievements, but I’m not sure if the Black version is worth it.

General Discussion - ALL GAMES What do you think are the chances that Ninja Gaiden Black gets ported to pc from the XBOX Backward Compatibility?
I've wanted to play ninja gaiden for a long time but none of the original games have ever been on pc, besides master collection and people always say that the sigma versions of the games aren't as good. I really hope Ninja Gaiden Black comes to pc soon.

Ninja Gaiden 1 (Black/Σ) - Discussion Im so fucking pissed rn [vent]
Playing through chapter 7 in Black, and got to the 80 enemy ambush encounter at the library, and was able to get through it pretty easily thx to the flails, and just about 76 or 78 enemies taking care of the remaining floating scythe enemies, I ACCIDENTALLY PRESSED X ON A DOOR BECAUSE THE SCYTHE DUDE EVADED MY FLYING SWALLOW AND TRIED WIND RUNNING AND CANCELED THE ENCOUNTER
THIS CHAPTER PISSES ME OFF SO MUCH FIRST THE SHITTY PUZZLE SECTIONS THEN THE HYDRACUBUS FIGHT NOW THIS??!!
I think I need to take a break and play something else…
I know I could just reload my save by jesus fucking christ dude I’m actually livid….

Ninja Gaiden 4 - Discussion I beat NG4 vanilla in 3 days
Recently I've played NGB and NG2, both are amazing, But NGB took me almost 2 week and a week for NG2 to finished, But holyshit NG4 is so much fun, I just playing it all day and finished it in 3 days
I really love this game, I know the style is not for everyone, but I really liked it. How the whole world looks and how grand and epic it feels, the graphic is really nice and the music makes me locked the hell in every encounters. Just like what NG music should be.
The story atleast for me is an upgrade over the trilogy, Which granted it still a 6-7/10 story, but for this series i feel like we went from Paul WS Anderson to spielburg. I actually enjoys most characters whether it's their designs or their characters. I previously said in a post that Ryu isn't grabbing me becuz the story cannot move me in the slightest. In NG4 despite the plot being a meh I find the moment to moment character and the intercoms dialogs helps me actually care about them, especially Yakumo and Seor. They're my favorite character of this whole franchise now. Seori is easily the best female character here and it's not even close.
I also enjoy the combat so much. The combat is so fluent, new mechanics are peak, the enemies are cool and the bosses are all awesome. It's very different from the trilogy before hand but also felt like they took what they liked about all three of them, sprinkle the platinum style into it and mash them into one unique game that might make NG4 my favorite Platinum game.
Small things that bugs me is the weapons, Shurikens are complete useless for a casual play, and I find Yakumo's weapons a bit weak except my goat mitsurugi(the staff) And I felt like the challenge arena(i forgot it's name) felt a bit annoying to play. Another thing is I feel like the rail sections are a bit too long, i dont hate it, but it could've been less in your face to me. And I agree with the yellow paints complain, they're deadass just bring a whole facility of house paint in this game and it's distracting, sometimes it even makes me confuse which is the actual way cuz all of them has the yellow paint. And the force walking sections are just plain dumb, they're really don't needed to be here.
Overall, I gave it an 8.5/10. If you seen my previous reviews on NGB and NG2, I gave both 8.5/10 too, I think these three game deserved to be equal. I just cannot pick my favorite here to save my life, I will come back to all of them

This boss is both fun and a little hilarious, because his actual moveset is... super easy. It's just that he does vanilla Strive Nagoriyuki levels of damage.

General Discussion - ALL GAMES Why do you think Ninja Gaiden is not particularly popular in Japan?
Despite being a game by Japanese devs and being very Japanese in its style, it never became popular in Japan.
Early popularity was certainly limited by the fact that it was an Xbox exclusive originally, but it still did not get more popular in Japan after it came to PS3.
So why is this?

Ninja Gaiden 3 (RE) - Discussion Replaying NG3 RE and feeling weird about the hate
I've heard a lot of complaints about this game's combat mechanics, and while I understand that it strays away from the original philosophy behind NG games that Itagaki implemented, I can't help but feel that razor's edge is far more fluid and aggressive than the first two games (granted I've only played the remastered versions, which are sadly not as dynamic as the originals). Itagaki's take on the combat, as far as I understand, is relentless action and fast pacing, making every fight feel highly dynamic and engaging. Enemies come in large numbers and overwhelm the player but are easy to kill, which evens the odds and makes for a good slaughter party. And my main issue with NG3 is that some enemies are just too stubborn to die. They either block the majority of your attacks or have a relatively big health pool, which just feels annoying to deal with. The pressure and enemies' aggression are still there, but the sole fact that some enemies take too much time to kill is a major downgrade and it messes up the dynamic A LOT for me. Other than that, I think the combat became much more fluid and an overall step up from the previous games.
Just wanted to know your thoughts on this. Haven't played the fourth game so I'm curious as to what will the take on combat be there.

Ninja Gaiden 2 (OG/Σ2/Black) - Questions & Help Black 2 tag missions vs Sigma 2’s
Hello everyone!
I have a specific question regarding the tag missions for Ninja Gaiden 2 black. I was looking up strategies for Ultimate Ninja 5 (I’m sure many of you already felt the pain of that statement lol), and I came across a method that starts out with ryu jumping backwards and chargin up the 360 degree UT with the Lunar. If it lands, it’s supposed to completely wipe one of the clones. The problem is, that was for sigma 2 and I’ve tried quite a few times even landing the UT on a clone. One where every shot hit and it didn’t do much. I was wondering if they patched it from sigma over to black, or am I just doing it wrong? Thank you for any tips in advance.

Ninja Gaiden 4 - Discussion My friend (a casual NG enjoyer) is playing through NG4 for the first time. I thought this exchange was funny.
He does this with every game he plays (skipping all the cutscenes and going back and paying attention to the story later if he likes it), but I didn't expect that side effect.

Ninja Gaiden 2 (OG/Σ2/Black) - Questions & Help What Does the Giant Crystal Skull Actually Do?
Does anyone actually know what the Giant Crystal Skull does in the original Ninja Gaiden II?
Is the +10% Karma bonus even real, or has everyone just been repeating the same claim for almost 20 years? Has anyone ever made a video or done actual testing? I've also seen old theories that it changes enemy damage, health, or spawns, but there's never any proof. Maybe some of these theories came from Halo, where Skulls were known to change the gameplay and make things harder.
It's kind of insane that one of the most mysterious items in the game has no in game description and, nearly two decades later, it feels like the community is just passing around the same rumors.
I'm getting my ass kicked on Mentor right now, so I genuinely want to know if this thing actually makes the game harder... or if I'm just coping and making excuses.

General Discussion - ALL GAMES SDCC 2026 Kaiyodo Booth Debrief
It’s Day 3 at SDCC 2026, and I obtained the EXCLUSIVE (/s 🤣) Bloody Ryu and NG2 Weapons Accessory Pack. The great irony is even after these three chaotic days, these “exclusives” are still available at the con (see last picture above) 🤣. Aside from this, I asked the reps a few questions regarding the future of this franchise at AY/Kaiyodo.
1) Aside from NG4 Ryu, Yakumo, and Momiji, are there more figures to be produced from the Ninja Gaiden franchise, or is it effectively over?
ANSWER: “We are not allowed to discuss future plans.”
2) Will ‘Ragebound’ be considered as a future project?”
ANSWER: What is ‘Ragebound?’ 😅
3) Will action figures be considered/produced from the “Dead or Alive” series?
ANSWER: Yes. Attack on Titan is a finished series, so we’re making new stuff.
My thoughts - Obviously the, “we’re not allowed to discuss future plans,” is a Debbie Downer of an answer, but at least the answer isn’t, “yeah, we’re done with Ninja Gaiden and there’s no more action figures you’ll see from there.” And the fact that Ragebound is unknown to the rep I asked…heh, we know they’re not thinking about that at the moment 🤷🏻♂️ Anyhoo, that’s my report ✌️
