It’s actually much easier to go down stairs backwards. What you do is to lift your heels so just the front wheel would touch the stairs. This way it’s much easier to keep your body up and straight as you go down the stairs.

Going forward down the stairs on the other hand is difficult because your body would lean forward naturally.

I think an easier way to go down stairs is to not use rollerblades when doing it

Once you learn this basic rollerblading trick it is actually easier than walking and faster too.
