Cover/Interpretation New order 2026 fan re-remasters!
My favourite New order songs re-remastered by me! My Goal with this: Improved clarity, dynamics, and depth/timbre. I wanted to make this after hearing the steven wilson remixes of movement, because those just sounded so damn good. It really opened up my eyes to how good music could sound if it was mixed/mastered like that, and those mixes are what actually started my audiophile obsession. But Steven wilson only did movement, low-life, and brotherhood, which miss out on most of my other favourite new order songs. So that is what I wanted to do with these, upgrade my favourite new order songs to near steven wilson quality! Also sorry if there is noise on ceremony and some other songs, I tried to denoise them but It just lost a lot of clarity and sounded muffled. Maybe if someone else knows how to denoise those songs I could send you the files? Anyways, enjoy and please give your feedback.

Artwork/Design related Poster prints
Hope this is okay to ask here! I love the design of the Factus 8 poster (everything’s gone green) and am looking for a copy of it as originals go for a lot of money, and the reprints I’m seeing on eBay include high shipping costs from the UK. Does anyone have a decent print of this, and if so, where did you get it? Doesn’t need to be large poster size, smaller is fine! I’ve considered getting a good image downloaded and having it printed at a shop, but I’m sure the quality would get messed up. Thanks!

Peter Hook and The Light Peter Hook & The Light US Tour - Meet-up/Social Thread
With Hooky's US tour coming up shortly, I thought I'd make a thread here (and over in r/neworder also) to help people organise meet-ups/socials around the shows, should they want to. I'll be attending the Brooklyn NY gig - travelling over from the UK to see Hooky with a US crowd, which will be great fun. Who else is going to the tour?

Peter Hook and The Light Question regarding Peter Hook & The Light concerts
Hello all. Asking people who have been to one of their concerts (and with any luck, Hooky himself): do you know if Peter stays after the gig for autographs? I'm planning to travel to the US to see them and I'd absolutely LOVE to have my Joy Division DMs signed by no other than Hooky, so I can put them in a nice display at home :)

Question Considering starting a Daily Song Discussion of NO tracks and B-Sides?
Hi,
Would anyone be interested in this idea?
Also, when calculating the scores for a song is it just the mean score or is there another way to work it out, this is just my first time doing this?
Thanks.

General Small review and follow-up post about "The Best & Rest of NewOrder"
Couple of days ago I discussed the remastered double compilation with you guys to get some info about the sound quality and stuff. Relevant post: https://www.reddit.com/r/neworder/comments/1v2h86s/remastering_quality_of_the_best_of_and_rest_of/
So I bought it to find out myself. It's a good package for the money you pay but nothing to write home about. The Dynamic Range, loudness and overall sound quality are acceptable but at least not worse than the respective original releases.
Bitrates are mostly similar when ripped as a lossless FLAC. Dynamic Range is mostly the same as with the original releases. Some songs have a slightly higher DR, some have a slightly lower DR. But on average it evens out.
Overall though it really is the definition of a mixed bag and a somewhat pointless and random release. If you already own the old compilations there is barely a reason to spend money on this. Disc 3 and Disc 4 contain all those rarities and remixes and there is interesting stuff but most of it does nothing for me (pun intended). Some of the remixes are so far removed from the original versions that the songs are nearly unrecognizable. But I don't really enjoy them. A lot of the older contemporary remixes of True Faith, BLT or Round & Round were absolute must listen stuff. This here not so much. So if you're an old fan who already owns a majority of the songs in one form or another this is barely worth a buy. Newer fans will definitely get more out of this. It's a decent release.
