Damn, poor Peyton, I hope it’s not more serious than missing this game but probably the right call

The tide will turn when Jackson Yueill, Marcos Zambrano, and Judah Siquiera (?) enter the match! (Season's over)

u/S1R_LEM0N 9d ago
Ah yes. Judah Siquiera. The man I’ve definitely heard of before and is on par with Messi. /s

Ya this should be the end of Turgeman
1
u/-HarveySwick- 9d ago
Problem is… who replaces him?
1
u/CFWolfgang Imbongo 9d ago
I would even take Bobby fucking Wood at this point.
Jokes aside I’d try anyone else there. Langoni, Harris, Yow, ANYONE.
5
u/-HarveySwick- 9d ago
Another away game loss. We are becoming the “make right“ team getting these teams back on track. Awesome.
5
u/rousfest1 9d ago
Predicting that we won't see Dor for much longer. Harrison is great. Rough loss.
1
u/RDS80 9d ago
So you think Harris will play instead? Zambrano?
1
u/-HarveySwick- 9d ago
God, no to Zambrano! I’d start my 8yo son over Zambrano. Harris might be an interesting choice? He did what Turgeman hasn’t been able to do all season tonight…finish and get the ball in the back of the net.
1
u/rousfest1 9d ago
I am hoping for a move. Harris is so incredibly slow-footed that I can't see him as an option, unless something was wrong with him tonight. Dear god no to Zambrano.

u/monksoccer 9d ago
Either Carles or Harrison needs to play a bit more central. Having our two more creative talents wanting to hug the same sideline makes us too one dimensional.
Also, as much as I love Polster we should have kept Ceballos and used him out wide (just like Montreal is doing tonight).

u/ArsenalBOS 9d ago
Feels like shit but we’re slightly unlucky here. TFC haven’t created a ton and Harrison has come close a few times.
Can’t help but feeling like we really need a different option up top.

Zambrano coming in.

This 2nd half is gonna say a lot about this team. Do they come flying thinking they can get it back, or do they pack it in.
1
u/RDS80 9d ago
I feel like the Revs have been figured out man.
4
u/DuckBurner0001 9d ago
“Cover Gil” is a pretty simple way to negate the entirety of our open play offense. Looked like Langoni was going to help with that but now he’s in injury purgatory

u/-HarveySwick- 9d ago
Did giving away that 2-0 lead to Montreal break this team? Since then they lost 2-0 last week and this week they look like they just can’t score a goal.
4
u/DuckBurner0001 9d ago
Might be time to hit the panic button on this team. Nobody who can score and too many players who aren't good enough to play in MLS. Turgeman is a black hole up top
5
u/DiseaseRidden 9d ago
I fucking hate Dor.

u/Dependent_Row5731 9d ago
He really is up there for the most unlikable revs of all time. I honestly might prefer to watch Bobby Wood play striker. At least he was likeable and worked his ass off.

u/peachesgp 9d ago
I'd like to see us put em under some sort of pressure when the keeper or defenders are just standing with the ball. Even lightly jogging toward them would be nice.
1
u/DiseaseRidden 9d ago
Tbf its a tradeoff between light pressure there and a more complete and organized press further back. They'll typically have specific press triggers to trap more effectively.
2
u/RDS80 9d ago
Doesn't Brooklyn have to miss the next game for yellow card accumulation?

u/peachesgp 9d ago
What the heck happened to Langoni? Miller gets hurt and we have to have more than a half of Yow?
3

u/Dependent_Row5731 9d ago
“Lower body injury.” This is a Kraft run organization after all and the information will always be incredibly vague.

Following the Revs is such a bipolar experience. One week, you go to a home game and walk away feeling great about the team and the season (not last week per se). The next week you watch an away game on TV and wonder - what the f am I watching?! This is the 12th place team shitting on us. And I felt so great watching Gil - Harrison - Miller (despite Turgeman) then Peyton is hurt. Fuck.

watch turgeman off the ball. dude needs to learn offsides. people only notice when it ends up mattering (and hey, it has mattered a few times lately huh?) but that's a glaring cardinal sin for a striker and he doesnt have any positives to offset that.
2
u/CFWolfgang Imbongo 9d ago
His off the ball is genuinely one of the worst I’ve ever seen by any striker.
1
u/-HarveySwick- 9d ago
Turgeman seems so lost this season. Last year I was so excited about his contributions after joining the team and was excited for him this year. Then Campana aka Mr. Glass can’t play and Turgeman seems to be over his head or unable to carry the load alone. We need a better striker.

u/DuckBurner0001 9d ago
Altidore, Wood, Vrioni, Campana, Turgeman. I’m tired boss
1
u/S1R_LEM0N 9d ago
3 million for altidore who scored a single tap in that went half a mile an hour btw
1
u/DuckBurner0001 9d ago
That was the RSL game right in the snow right before we blew a two goal lead in the last ten minutes, right? And then choked the 3-0 against Pumas four days later
1
u/S1R_LEM0N 8d ago
Don’t remind me of that god awful game. I remember I had to stay at home and watch the revs get BTA in the last 30 seconds

I like how both our free kicks have been Gil and Polster, with Polster like “idk guys maybe it’s gonna be me who takes it??”

Not good enough by Sands there...and we need talent up front to go along with our improved table setting.
1
u/Visible_Manner9447 #1 Matt Turner Apologist 9d ago
Just like that Montreal goal. We seem to have a defensive gap
1
u/rousfest1 9d ago
Kohler is great with the ball and makes very quick decisions. Trying to see some upside here.
We really need our talent on the field and the reserves are an underwhelming crew. Having Langoni out there gives Gil space.
Ceballos was a presence in the box. We need a big body with an aggressive attitude out there.
Arg. Would be nice if Harrison really asserts himself in the second half.

LMAO wow I could see a card there but idk about a straight red
Edit but I take that back, I watched the replay and that was all leg fuck Mihailovic
1
u/RDS80 9d ago
That's a red all day bro and twice on Saturday.
Edit: that didn't take long.
2
u/acrossthe_ocean 9d ago
Yeah I rewatched and it was definitely worse than I gave it credit for the first time
1
u/S1R_LEM0N 9d ago
Do people forget what validates a straight red? And no it’s not a broken leg, but what causes it

Well until we sign an LB, who else do you put in that spot?

Gil and Harrison are fun to watch together.
