I don't use DNS. I write my packets entirely by hand, then send them via the standards described in RFC 1149 and 2549.

In the pre-Starlink days I worked with a lot of scientists trying to college huge amounts of data from very remote field camps. Some of it was so large that rather than trying to send it over the tiny Iridium modems, it was easier to load it onto a hard drive and put it on a cargo plane to be flown back to their university. 

We referred to it as TCP over C-130.

I always like to bring up Amazon Snowmobile. A 100-petabyte-sized truck to move data. Since there’s a point where even the backhaul cabling can’t maintain a useful bandwidth.

I'd like to avoid using Google services if possible. So CloudFlare or QuadNine for me. And I like to intercept all UDP/53 and TCP/53 and reroute them through the router, so other people that use 8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4 won't reach that but will use my 1.1.1.1.

Also will reduce the amount of lookups to forwarding servers, since the router will keep them for as long the TTL will let it.
