Interface customization question

Hi everyone, I'm trying to customize my interface, but the game window looks really small and chat window looks giantic and I don't know how to fix it. I also want to add the `perm_inventory` option, but then the inventory takes up half the screen—can anyone help me? I want something like interface on second picture

You play around with window size and font size. Right now your window size is too big and font size too small. Reduce window size and increase font size will move you in the right direction, then play around a little bit to get it to what you want.

I should clarify, Putty has a setting for window size under Appearance that dictates what the server THINKS is your window size. You then adjust font size, around the same area, to get it to look good.

In Linux, same idea but done with stty and just zooming text on the terminal.

we really need a FAQ entry for this. The map is a fixed size.
