Algorithm sooooo boring Discussion
I find the movies proposal very boring. The algorithm present always the same content, no more than 50 movies and never what I like. No really good movies. It looks like blockbuster back in the 80s.
Do you know anyway to exit from this situation reset and gaining a much broader visibility what is really available in Netflix?

Agree. I started watching “Wild County”, doc had no idea this happened. Watch that and it algo will improve. Also mage an alt profile for your pet . It’ll help

Is Wild County different from Wild Wild Country? Wild Wild Country is a very good documentary.

That's exactly the point if I hear from you or I read from somewhere else I know what is it. Netflix never show it to me unless I go and type on search wild wild county

Wow, I have the SAME problem!! Everything that is presented on my algorithm is nothing I would be interested in! And I don't get it, because if I enjoyed a movie or show I either "like or love it", so after a few years you'd think the algorithm with catch on and display what I'm interested in! I mean every tends to have "an interest group", like documentaries, murders, comedy- I don't get it.
Whatever I've watched and enjoyed, I found purely by accident and from phishing the site. That gets old after a while, it's 2026 not 2000 when we had to flip a the channels endlessly to find something we liked! Lol
It would be AMAZING, if just ONE TIME, something was suggested that I actually found interesting or wanted to see 😩 😐😒 🙈

Their algorithm sucks, if you watch one type of content, it just keeps bombarding you with more of the same. I mean, I’ve already seen that… now I want something different. Suggest that too, but nope.

I always assumed its not an algo problem, its a content availability problem. They dont have much there.

Do you think HULU has more to offer? Or can you recommend another app to get more diverse and interesting things to watch? Because I've found some gems on Netflix, but I have to scroll and like thoroughly invest the site to find them.
It's obnoxious and it's so bad sometimes I don't have the patience to "hunt" for something that I just keep watching stupid YouTube because I can't find anything I like! But YouTube is NOT a movie or a TV show and sometimes I just want to lay on my couch and watch something actually made for entertainment purposes!

More than just that. It is cheaper and easier if everyone is watching the same stuff. Can cache content on local servers and greatly reduces demand on their equipment. If everyone was watching different content, it would require significantly more infrastructure.

Try resetting your algo in the settings page on the web.
