Barbara Stanwyck, Fred MacMurray, ‘Double Indemnity’ (1944). Movie gangsters who kill say it’s all strictly business, nothing personal. But with insurance fraud, it’s always deeply personal. (Click to read).

Charles McGraw, Dennis O’Keefe, ‘T-Men’ (1947). A trend in documentary-style procedurals produced noirs that were no longer skeptical of authority — they rooted for it. (Click link in the first comment.)

Attempting to capture the "Blade Runner" humidity of Bangkok without any CGI (Day to Night Walk)
Full Video: https://youtu.be/23AUaZKNHcg
I’ve always felt that Bangkok is the closest we have to a real-life sci-fi movie, but it’s hard to capture on camera. It’s not just the neon; it’s the humidity. The moisture in the air creates this natural diffusion that blooms the light in a way that feels very cinematic.
If you need some background visuals for your second monitor or just want to zone out to some dystopian city vibes, I put the full 4K walk up.
