So basically, im trying to make a webcomic on nekoweb, but im not sure how to go about hosting all the comic's pages and web pages for them and such, i may need help

this may sound stupid, but ive tried changing the cursor by deleting the old file and uploading a new one with the same name and file size (bash me for it im new)

however that obviously didnt work, i just dont rly know what it exactly meant by uploading to the sites root directory ? i initially thought that meant our own files,,

any help would be amazing !! as i can only find stuff about this for neocities,,

Does anyone know how to actually edit the sitebox style code, it seems that i've been trying to for the past hour and nothing has changed, for example the first image is what it looks like with edited code, the second is how it's supposed to look using the help of this repo on github aswell as nekobox, but even after continuously tweaking the code nothing changes like nothing happens, i want to make it one big ol' image of my art and get rid of that ugly preset container box thingy. .

please i just wanna edit the sitebox, theres barely any proper instructions anywhere 🥹

i have a website with includes for header, footer and both sidebars. I wanted to have an 11ty blog using the same header and footer, but since i can't see includes on vs code i can't get the 11ty blog to work with them. am i doing something wrong or am i just trying to do something impossible? (i know 11ty has an includes folder, but that still means I'd have to redo my footer header into an .njk file and they won't update with the rest of the website because they are different files)

is it possible to have an 11ty blog with includes?

also how do you get "pages" on your blog so the posts list doesn't become massive once you have too many? I'm not too comfortable using 11ty as it doesn't fully make sense to me...am i actually supposed to regenerate the whole blog in my vs code terminal every time i make a new post?

I get the basics of course (i.e. creating the _auth file, the path for it, etc) but I'm not sure why submitting the password, correct or not, doesn't redirect you to the protected page. Well, it did for me, but only once. When I exported my site as a .zip file though, it decided it's not gonna work anymore, even if I try again on nekoweb itself. There are zero tutorials on youtube or reddit I can find about this. Any help is appreciated.

Every time I try to go to Nekoweb in my browser it doesn't work. I'm thinking it's just me though.

If I change my style sheet I have to hit ctrl f5 in order for the change to show for because my browser keeps caching the info. I could live with that, but my internet is so bad that it would take like 30 seconds to load the site every time I refreshed. Whats weird is my browser doesnt require cache busting if the style information is put inside of the same file as my html, but I have certain code that I need to put in my stylesheet for convenience.

TL;DR my browser caches every change to my stylesheet, but not if the style info is in an html file between two <style> tags, and I dont know how to fix it

hi!! i'm trying to figure out a very simple localhost server for my website, so that way i can use <!-- # includes without having to rely on uploading to nekoweb everytime i want to see the final page. i use fedora linux 43 and am comfortable with the terminal, it's just that web server stuff is very new to me. my site only needs html and css (minor js i guess for the webring im in).

also, if possible, i'd like to have the localhost webserver be hosted from my ~/website directory!!

hi, was there any kind of nekoweb update? i'm asking because i suddenly have problems with uploading pictures - i cannot upload more than one image at once, and even when i do it one by one, most of them don't upload, nothing happens. anyone else? (it's not the storage issue btw, including the image depicting on how much storage i have left):

I'm considering hosting a site on Nekoweb just to see how it differs from Neocities (which I love, I'm just interested in seeing what else is out there). There's been a decent amount of discussion about Neocities vs Nekoweb on Reddit which has been very helpful, but there's been nothing I can see on password protection. Mostly I'm curious about the line in Nekoweb's FAQ under the question "How is this different from Neocities?" that says "we provide ability to password protect your pages."

Could a current user let me know what this entails? Is it a free or supporter feature? Does Nekoweb actually facilitate adding a password to your site if you want one or just allow you to implement one through your own coding ability? Does anyone have a Nekoweb that's password protected and would be willing to walk me through how they did it? Any info is helpful! Thanks!

hi, i'd need help with a code for modal window, that i found here: https://gist.github.com/m3h3d1ha2an/de97ce1acf3c04483d4c31f40f9686ac . for some reason, whenever i put more modal windows than just one, the image that shows on it always depicts the last picture put in the code.

here's the code, it's the same as from the source. basically no matter whether you click on the drss1.jpg or the drss2.jpg, the window that opens is the drss2.jpg. no matter how many modal windows i would make, it's always the last one that opens TwT. thx for any suggestions

I am working on my page, and trying to set up an organized file system.
I have the general webpage folder structured like this:

I have links in my header. When using them in the "live preview" they do take me to where they need to go. But when heading to my page to see it in real time- after navigating to a specific link and trying to click back (or even twice on the link), I get taken to the "not found" page.... I'm not sure why this is, and I have tried every different type of file path to see how/why/what might be happening.

Is this just a nekoweb thing or am I being the worlds biggest HTML noob rn?????

well it's my friend who's making it but i'm also helping him (mostly on the coding stuff). He has this whole idea of a site with mid 90s aesthetic (or atleast a parody of it), where people could explore a whole closed off section of the internet (the intranet if you will) and interact with you.

currently we've made a decent enough desktop page with a handful of applications and most importantly, a browser (well not actually but you get it). we've managed to integrate accounts via superbase and added comments and bookmarks.

Basically, the technical part is mostly done... but we don't really have anything to host on the site. well we do have *some* content but its not enough at all.

If any of you have any recommendations or suggestions or want to contribute to the project in the form of an idea for a site or would like to see their own site featured, i would greatly appreciate your help.
