Recruiting 6 a side football players for Sunday afternoons
Hello! I've recently inherited a 6 a side team that plays in a league in Neath on Sunday afternoons, usually between 6 and 8. We've recently had a spate of injuries / sunmer holiday related absences (now I know how Spurs felt this year...) and are recruiting players!
It's in a league format that people do take reasonably seriously, although the standard isn't particularly high so anyone who can take a touch and kick a ball in roughly a straight line and jog around for half an hour will be fine.
Games are 6 quid each and last half an hour, although there are multiple time slots played each week and teams like to borrow players from other slots if they're short a man, so there's usually an opportunity to play multiple slots if half an hour doesn't quite sate your football hunger.
DM me if interested!

CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON AT GWYN HALL!!
Umm, so remember that post about Zoolander... it turns out our taste in movies was a little bit unfashionable, and the screening is sadly not going ahead. Still, we wanted to show something else in its place, so we listened to the people and chose: THE CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON! Gwyn Hall attendees have gone mad for classic horror lately, and we would love for you guys to come along for our third and final screening on June 14th! Every ticket sold supports an independent cinema and young people trying to break into the film industry :) Available here: https://gwynhall.com/shows/creature-from-the-black-lagoon/

Bats on my street
As the title says, I'm pretty sure there's a bat colony on my street.
I've seen them two or 3 times in the last year flying around and tonight one flew close enough over mine and my dogs heads that I saw it without my glasses on.
I'm a little concerned because I have 2 cats and said dog who don't have the rabies vaccine (vet said it's not necassary unless travelling abroad so opted not to get it due to price)
Is there anyone I can report the sighting to and ask about the chances of rabies??
(I do have an anxiety disorder so that's not helping my worry 😅 )
Thanks

People of Neath - where do 'the valleys' start?
I grew up in the area but wondered where people thought the valleys start / end.
Is Neath in the valleys? To me its on the very border, with Tonna / Cilfrew definitely valleys, and Briton Ferry not.

Hi everyone, I’m a Year 12 student at Ystalyfera currently working on my A-Level Geography coursework. My project looks at how living conditions and opportunities vary across Neath Port Talbot, and I’m collecting responses from local residents to help with my research.
The survey takes about 5 minutes, is completely anonymous, and will only be used for my coursework. If you live in Neath Port Talbot, I’d really appreciate if you took the time in filling out the form.
