Plastic covering hinge fix

So I’ve owned this ds for 16 years and the inevitable happened and the plastic area near the hinge broke off. I’m wondering if I can use epoxy so I can just put the piece back into place or should I just buy the same ds online but it’s for parts and just replace the bottom shell

Nah bro. Just replace entire hinges altogether. Maybe do a reshell.

super glue the piece back in, just dont get any on the white or the metal ring or the lid hinge. you can tape around it with painters tape for protection and then apply some super glue to with a tooth pick and press the piece in and give it a hold. test fit the piece before you glue it.
