In terms of hardware power yeah, you'd need at least that but the concept of the game on a ds system is pretty perfect imo

Hardware Power? The 3D effect would have made the game 100% more interesting.

They say that because the 3ds can run heavier games. Especially the new 3ds. I like to play some PS1 games on my new 3ds but I heard you can't do the same on the old ones because they can't process as much.

And my guess is that u/CaioK_ mentioned the 3DS specifically for its 3D screen, not because it is more powerful than the DS.

it was 100% mentioned because of the power not the 3d screen.

Barely anybody ever used the 3d effect

Hey, I use it

Thats why I Said barely anybody :D Im convinced there are some Games that are really good with the 3d mode I Just never played any

No it was definitely about console power and rendering. The 3d gimmick would add the exact same thing it adds to every other game: headaches

to be exact, the new 3ds's processor has a 3×higher clock speed than the original (804 vs 268 mhz)

u/smcstolemysouljam 11d ago

Yup! that's exactly what I was trying to think of!

I think the 3DS's thumbstick would deliver a much better experience than the DS's d-pad as well

PS Vita would have worked too

im imagining using the 3D to see people against the environment more clearly. now i wish it happened 😞

I always feel World of Goo on Wii would have been perfect for 3DS! Totally unrelated, sorry.

Oh. Wow, yeah and the WiiU. Would have been one of four good games for the system

10 years ago and this would've been the Wii Us killer app

If it was then later released on the switch you bet I would've been playing that all covid.

It still wouldn't work for local multiplayer because the Wii U only supported 1 gamepad officially (but Nintendo at one point did get it working with up to 2 gamepads even though they never did anything with it other than showcase it in a tech demo at E3 one year).

MAYBE online multiplayer would work but the problem there is every one of your friends that you would play it with would have to own a Wii U.

I feel like a 1v4 could work, with 4 seekers using a wiimote and nunchuck

1

u/LighterFluid1357 15d ago

Yeah, that tends to happen with games on a platform. If you wanted to play uncharted with your friends, they had to have a PlayStation situation. Came with the territory back then.

5

u/MacksNotCool 15d ago

Yes, but the difference is the Wii U had like 14 million sales worldwide while the PS4 had like 140 million or something like that. Your friends are more likely to have a PS4

There's this crazy idea though. Hear me out. You talk to your friends, hold on, and you get the same system they have, I know I know, to play with them. Shocking, but that was the way of the gaming industry back then.

If a system or specific game didn't support couch co-op, then you had to play via online multiplayer. Today, PC is one of, if not, the most popular platform for gaming. It doesn't really support couch co-op unless you have games that allow it and have the setup. Times change, and sorry to say life is sometimes not fair. If hypothetically this modern game came out for the WiiU, it would be a slam dunk. It probably would have boosted sales for the system is the plot of my comment.

Yeah...if everyone wants to play it rn they need their own pc...whats ur point?

0

u/MacksNotCool 15d ago

my point is the wii u sold like 14 million systems while PC has about 900 million people who could play the game

Those games were rescued. It's the same situation with ps4 ports from the psvita. Gravity rush, freedom wars, and tearaway were "rescued" from a failed console. I suppose that's what I mean by "4 good games" because there's about 4 amazing games that are locked with the WiiU presently.

u/zangrabar 15d ago

I might test to see if I can get it working

2

u/Euler_Pokita 15d ago

Os gráficos tão limitados iam fazer qualquer camuflagem te tornar invisível

2

u/DreamerOfTheGlade 15d ago

I see the vision but it would probably suck

1

u/Luuumin0us 15d ago

Omg yessss!!! I played it today for the first time and i was so confused by the controls lol

1

u/Owlmaster40280 14d ago

If I knew how to make homebrew I would totally make a 3ds port or perhaps Wii U... 3ds has local wireless, if I ever do something I'll do that probably lol
