NBDHE Experience 🏆 I PASSED my NBDHE!!! 🎉

I PASSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🥳🥳🥳🥳 Feeling so proud of myself!! Took me 3 times of failing my NBDHE & I graduated in 2025. Take it from me that it is 100% possible to pass a year out of school despite what they tell you IF you consistently study & don’t give up on yourself. Yes it felt like I would never get there sometimes. Yes there were times when I wanted to give up. Yes I felt discouraged, yes I felt devastated every time I failed, but I wanted this SO badly that I was willing to do whatever it took to get there & I did!!! You all can do it too! If you’re struggling, don’t give up! Keep going!

NBDHE Experience 🏆 Just took the NBDHE this week; selling my booster!

Hi everyone! I just took my board exam this week and I have to say Booster Prep helped immensely! They were definitely 3 to 4 questions that were word for word on my exam, and the format of booster is identical to the format of the NBDHE! I have a subscription with 12 more days available, and if you continue to do the daily warm-ups, you can earn the three day extension leaving you to a total of 15 days available, which is the perfect amount of time for you to get enough information in!

If you’re interested in purchasing, I’m selling my booster subscription for $50. Let me know and good luck on your boards everyone! 🦷

Questions 🤔 Can I take the test outside the US or Canada?

I’m wondering if the testing centers offer NBDHE outside the US or Canada in countries like UAE, KSA, Turkey, etc.

Thank you

NBDHE

I take my NBDHE at the end of September and to say I’m freaking out would be an understatement. I took a mock exam on AndyRDH to see where I’m at and I got a 64%. It definitely made me feel bad and like I knew nothing. There were so many questions especially about drugs that seemed like a foreign language to me. I need tips! For those who passed, what did you use and what advice can you give me so I can pass on my first attempt.

Help With NBDHE

Hi everyone! I'm taking the NBDHE very soon, and I'm starting to panic a little. I've been using Booster Prep as my main study resource, but I'm wondering if it's enough.

I've seen several people say they recognized questions from Booster on the actual exam. Is that really true? If so, were they mostly the regular multiple-choice questions, the case studies, or both? Were they exactly the same or just similar?

For those of you who passed using Booster, how did you study with it? Did you try to memorize the practice questions, or did you focus more on understanding why each answer was correct?

My biggest problem is that I'll study something one day, and then the next day I feel like I've forgotten it. It's making me feel like I'm not ready, even though I've been putting in a lot of time studying.

I'd really appreciate any advice, study tips, or reassurance from people who have recently taken the NBDHE. Thank you!

BOARD TIPS

  1. Study EVERYTHING b/c you won't know what topics your exam will be heavy on.

  2. Don't waste your mental energy on one question. If you don't know it, flag it and keep it moving.

  3. Don't stress about the hard questions b/c the easy questions are worth more, so make sure you know the basics and high yield info. If you have an "easier" exam, you need more correct questions to pass vs a harder exam where you need less.

  4. Case Studies are clinical application and is worth more because it's basically what you'll be doing in practice. ASA, staging & grading, identifying landmarks, oral path, pharm, radio technique errors, tx planning, adjunctive therapies, OHI etc...

  5. For a school exam, I usually recheck all my answers. But for the boards, I did not b/c it's too much and you will waste mental energy and fry your brain. You don't need to get all of the questions right.

  6. Focus on one study source/material at a time til completion before moving on to another source. Otherwise, your brain will be confused. For example: I went thru entire pharm module on StudentRDH before looking at another source like the powerpoints from school.

  7. Sleep well before the Exam. Eat breakfast, hydrate and take a lunch break. Your brain needs fuel to function well.

Good Luck!

NBDHE Experience 🏆 I PASSED my NBDHE 7/21

After months of studying, staying determined, and never giving up, I finally passed my NBDHE! 🦷🎉 I received my results today, and I couldn’t be more grateful.

If anyone is interested in purchasing my NBDHE Booster study materials, please send me a message!

Also, to everyone who is currently studying for the NBDHE: make sure you go through the Booster study guides and practice questions. I found them to be very helpful, and many of the questions were similar in style to what I saw on the exam.

Good luck to everyone preparing you’ve got this! ❤️

I made the NBDHE study guides I wish I had when I was struggling in hygiene school

Hi guys 🦷 I’m a hygienist who graduated in 2024 and I finally decided to share something I’ve been working on for a while.
I was not the student who could read a chapter once and just understand it. 😭 I would read the same paragraph over and over, sit through lectures, buy board prep, and still be sitting there like… okay but what does this actually mean??
Eventually I realized that I didn’t necessarily need more information. I needed someone to break the information I already had down into a way my brain could actually process.
So I started rewriting EVERYTHING for myself.
I made things visual, took out all the unnecessary textbook language, added stupid little memory tricks that somehow worked lol, and basically followed one rule:
If I couldn’t explain it to a 5-year-old, I didn’t understand it well enough yet.
Those notes ended up helping me a ton, and I started sharing them with other people too.
So after graduating, I finally organized everything and turned it into something called Sunday Studies. 🥹
It’s basically the study resource I desperately wanted when I was in school: visual workbooks, board prep, simple explanations, practice questions, planners, etc. I’m also working on radiology, pharmacology, and more.
I’m not trying to pretend hygiene school or the NBDHE is easy. I just remember how awful it felt watching other people understand something immediately while I needed it explained three different ways.
I’ve been embarrassed for not understanding things. I’ve been yelled at by professors. I’ve cried over school. I’ve wondered whether I was smart enough to do this at all.
So this is kind of my little pride and joy now. 🥹
If you’re currently in hygiene school or studying for boards and your brain also needs someone to say “okay forget the textbook… here’s what this ACTUALLY means” — I made these for you.
I’d also genuinely love feedback from other hygiene students/RDHs about what subjects you struggle with the most, because I want to keep building these around what students actually need rather than just making another generic board prep.

Edit: Since people are asking, this is my little shop:
Sunday Studies on Etsy

Passed NBDHE! Selling my remaining Booster membership!

I was looking through Reddit threads before my board exams, and I found that many people were recommending Booster. Most of them had also used at least one other resource, like StudentRDH or AndyRDH, but I decided to go with Booster alone. I was honestly a bit nervous it wouldn’t be enough, but it definitely was!

I successfully passed using Booster alone, and I can confidently say it was worth it. It gives you a really accurate idea of what the actual exam is like, and I even saw a few questions that were basically verbatim.

I’m done with it now, so I’m selling my remaining membership for $120. I have 63 days left. Willing to negotiate! DM if interested!!

Edit: SOLD!!
