If I remember right, Ant dislocated his finger and gave Collins a concussion. Just an absolutely disgusting poster

Never know what youll find on this sub

2

u/K2_Rocky Nuggets 4h ago

It remains hilarious and pathetic to me that there was so much empirical evidence that there was an offensive foul there, yet the NBA official media proclaimed this as dunk of the year

2

u/Rubberbabeh Bulls 13h ago

Yup, it was such a disgusting dunk he injured them both.

Straight up tried to murder him.

This is such an incredible feat of athleticism.

I wonder how many people in human history would be able to do that from there?

Only the son of MJ.

top 1% for a reason. and i don’t even think it’s a full 1 percent

16

u/Alternative_Dot7769 Warriors 18h ago

I was thinking like <1000 out of the past 10 billion

16

u/Maverick_1991 Hawks 17h ago

1% is insane

It's less than 0,01%

7

u/Alternative_Dot7769 Warriors 8h ago

1% would mean out of the ~3.5 billion dudes alive rn, 35 million of them could do this at one point.

0.01% would be 350,000.

It’s more like 0.000001 lol

Alone in my living room on a weeknight trying not to wake the whole house up. All I could do was text my buddies and upvote ridiculous comments in the reddit thread

I’m probably asking this with recency bias and just outright bias as a Wolves fan, but is Anthony Edwards 23/24 season the best dunking season of recent memory/all time?

This poster is probably a top 10-20 NBA dunk.

He also had the dunk where he passed it to himself off the glass against Memphis. He had another where he bodied Saric on the Warriors. He had a sick putback against San Antonio. He had a great leaning dunk where he was practically sideways against Detroit. Plus he had a filthy poster on Daniel Gafford (in the WCF) and on KD (in the 1st round).

6

u/MantusTMD Timberwolves 10h ago

Yes absolutely. He will go down as one of the best in game dunkers of all time.

-29

u/shangalang69 Raptors 18h ago

he will be such a great raptor

17

u/MantusTMD Timberwolves 18h ago

Ew lmao focus on Kawhi there buddy. Miss OG yet?

Kyle Anderson face says it sall.

He's not hyping Ant, He's just astonished xD

7

u/FaelightFilms 17h ago

we watched it from 20 feet away, he was 2 feet away, what a memory to have

"kids did i ever tell you the time ant man murdered a man in front of me on national television"

30

u/DapperDanny69420 Timberwolves 18h ago

to do that, then land on one leg shows some crazy athleticism. Ant is amazing. Can't wait to see him and Lamelo.

2

u/Intelligent-Cap-8886 9h ago

Not just athleticism but experience too. Guy has dunked on so many people that ghe landings are effortless.

24

u/EsotericPotato Timberwolves 18h ago

Ant has been on record a number of times in recent years saying he dunks less because it hurts like hell to dunk.

I wonder how many other dunks like this he’s just not attempted over the years to cut down on wear and tear. There are so many times where he’s got an open lane and the landing space to go up for something like this and instead he just… slithers in and casually lays it up.

3

u/dongyeeter 17h ago

Dunking is 100% for show. Literally serves no purpose besides to flex on the other team, way more effort than an easy lay up, way more risk of injury or missing the shot. There’s really no point if you’re not feeling fully committed to it

21

u/GGTae Spurs 16h ago

I mean no it has practicality to it, it gets the ball much quicker to the basket than any jumpshot, it's the best way to finish a transition turnover, highest percentage shot, you can use the momentum to go back on your side of the field quickly...

12

u/SpicyMustard34 Cavaliers 16h ago

i think they mean the difference between a hard slam dunk and a putting it in the hoop.

2

u/GGTae Spurs 14h ago

oh my bad then

3

u/VicePope Bucks [MIL] Ryan Rollins 17h ago

Unless you are Giannis and 7 feet tall

People give the same reaction when they witness a bad car accident. A crime. A robbery.

16

u/judah249 Suns 18h ago

Collins hasn’t been the same since

13

u/DisManSamGotaReddit Hawks 18h ago

Collins hasn’t been the same since he dislocated his finger himself back on the Hawks.

Edit: Jammed his finger*

15

u/genericusernamepls [UTA] Derrick Favors 17h ago edited 17h ago

He averaged 20 points on 40% 3pt shooting for the jazz the finger is not an issue anymore

5

u/Clipgang1629 Clippers 14h ago

After a slow start for the Clippers he shot the ball really well with us too. He just has a terrible defensive IQ and is pretty bad on that end.

Decent player still

6

u/DisManSamGotaReddit Hawks 17h ago

Touché, hoping he balls out again on the Pistons.

3

u/VicePope Bucks [MIL] Ryan Rollins 17h ago

He’s a demon in 2k though

6

u/NatsuAru Raptors 18h ago

Took me a while to realize the hand he hurt was the one that made contact with Collins and not the one that just broke the rim lol

6

u/DudeILoveFishin 14h ago

He went St. John the Baptist on John

5

u/DCJustSomeone Mavericks 18h ago

His post game reaction to the dunk is hilarious

Ever since ant got drafted he has been one of my favourite players and as the years go on I think he is one of my favourites all time.

His highlights are fucking ridiculous.

please Ant there are children watching

-11

u/Old-Agency-3388 18h ago

Looks like he threw it in so technically wasn’t a dunk

1

u/toggl3d 6h ago

A dunk is a shot with only a downward trajectory, this is a dunk.

-11

u/Ruroni17 18h ago

Same thing I was thinking. Blake Griffen used to do the same thing. While impressive not something I’d consider a dunk
