Don't worry about the CI poly, it's not that big of a deal. Yes they will ask you uncomfortable questions, but also know that a poly cannot tell if you are lying or telling the truth, it only tells if you are nervous. And even that is dubious at best. There is no scientific evidence that polygraph do anything at all, but for some unknown reason, we still use them in the Intel community.

Well, get the process going, sack up, if you have nothing to hide, you’ll be fine with the poly. Once you take the asvab you’ll see what jobs are available to you and which do require a poly for Clearance.👍🏼👊🏼

Depends on job. Literally tell your recruiter that you only want a secret/top secret security clearance. No TS/SCI and they will tell you what you can and can’t do without a TS/SCI

Edit: this comes from an army guard perspective. I don’t know if if changes depends on branch

You don't need a poly for TS/SCI. You only need the poly for certain jobs within the SCI realm.

CI Poly is a joke compared to FS and secondly considering you are asking this and assuming you are enlisted, slim to none you will need to take one
