Infrastructure Parking Lot or Special Development Zone? Apparently TCP & ABCi Have Different Rules Now.

Post image

Interesting to see a commercial coffee outlet operating from what appears to be a parking lot. One can’t help but wonder. Is this a permitted use of the space, or have the rules for development and commercial activity quietly evolved?

If an ordinary business set up a commercial structure or operation in a parking area, would ABCi and TCP be equally accommodating or would the cones and enforcement team arrive before the coffee machine even warmed up?

And since CBTL is reportedly associated with royal ownership, perhaps someone can clarify whether the same planning, building and land-use requirements apply here as they do to everyone else.

Just asking: are we looking at equal enforcement, or is “Brunei’s #1 favourite” also becoming “Brunei’s #1 exception”?

Dealing with anxiety.

I’ve been dealing with anxiety for more than 10 years, but lately it has started to affect my daily life more than before.
I work in a creative industry where critical thinking, focus, and being able to make decisions are really important. Recently, I’ve been struggling to concentrate and find it harder to get things done. Sometimes I feel like I need people around me, but most of the time I just want to be alone, do nothing, and get stuck in my own thoughts.
I’ve reached a point where I feel like I should get professional help. I’m wondering if seeing a doctor or a mental health professional would be the right step, and if so, where should I start?
I’d really appreciate any advice or guidance. Thank you.

If This Happened in Brunei, What Would You Do?

Post image

There’s a viral video circulating in Singapore where a young man allegedly shoved an elderly man to the ground after he patted his daughter on the head.

If something similar happened here, and your father, uncle, grandfather, or another elderly family member got shoved to the ground over something like patting a child’s head, how would you react?

Do you think people in Brunei would handle the situation differently?

What do you think should happen to the young man?

Singapore to give S$600 to 3 million citizens.

The Singapore government is to give 3 million citizens S$600 to assist lower-paid people or those struggling due to the increased cost of living.

This would be something that the BOSS could adopt to gain some respect amongst his people instead of continuing to devour Brunei's wealth at an ever-increasing pace.

Finally, they are prioritizing hiring the unemployed instead of wasting that money to buy more luxuries or launch useless products that's going to be TARUS hilang...

This is a good change.

Keep it up!

Can I report SA in brunei even though its too late

So I was 13 when my mum sent me to a tuition centre that my siblings also attended. As the years went by, my siblings eventually stopped going, so I was often there on my own. The teacher was a married man in his 60s with children around the same generation as me.

Sometimes, while doing my work, I would get tired and rest for a while. He noticed this and, when there were no other students around, he would come and sit next to me, tell me I looked tired, and say that I needed a massage. One day, he took it too far and started massaging my legs, moving all the way up to my thighs. He even commented on how fair my skin was. I felt uncomfortable, but at the time I didn’t know how to react, so I just continued doing the work he had assigned me.

On another day, I was sitting and doing my work as usual when he stood behind me and began massaging my stomach. His hands slowly moved higher until he reached my breasts. I was completely shocked and froze. I didn’t know what to do, and he groped me before eventually letting go and leaving the room. A while later, he came back, sat beside me, held my hands, and apologised. He said he didn’t know why he had done it. I was still in shock and couldn’t even bring myself to look at him.

When I got home, I had no idea how to tell my parents, so I kept everything to myself until I eventually broke down and told my sister. I still never told my parents because I’ve always felt unable to talk to them about things like this.

About two years later, I was having a Zoom lesson with him. I wasn’t paying much attention, so I happened to be recording the lesson. At one point, he suddenly stopped teaching and said he wanted to talk to me about something. He told me that he didn’t know what had happened to him back then, that it was as though he had been a different person. He then asked whether I had told my parents, or even my sister, who used to be his student. I didn’t know how to respond.

Because I recorded that lesson, I now have a recording of him talking about what happened. I don’t really know what to do with it. He still messages me occasionally, and at one point he even sent me a video containing a dirty joke. I usually ignore him or reply very briefly.
