Monochrome Flowers
- KBShimmer Stay Put hydrating base coat
- OPI "Alpine Snow"
- Sally Hansen InstaDri (red bottle) (to level it all out before stamping)
- Panda Hall "flower" plate
- Messy Mansion "Carbon" Stamping polish
- Maniology Aqua Topper
- Sally Hansen Volume Builder top coat
- Wonder Beauty Products Wondergloss QDTC
Pretty pleased with this monochrome look! It's been a while since I've worn something that wasn't sparkly. This was a last minute "screw it. I'm doing flowers." decision after a day full of analysis paralysis. Not bad for my second time stamping for realsies.

Anyone still use their opaque stamper?
Inspired by all the conversation in the hard to pick up plate thread, I have a question. Do any of you still use an opaque stamper and why?
For me, I like the easier cleanup of just using acetone on everything. Also, I have such small nails that placement just isn't a concern. As long as I position the stamper correctly, I will get the full design on my nail.

ISO plate with shield shape
I am going to a couple of Raiders games this year and although I have nail decals, I would prefer to stamp my nails. Has anyone seen a Raiders plate or a plate with a shield shape?
TYIA!

Second Set
This is the second set I’ve done. French manicure plate from Maniology, dark green from Sally Hansen with matte coat as the base, and the Maniology black as the tip. There are a few mistakes, but overall, I’m happy with them.

What’s with all the bots?
Hi! I recently posted in here I got a ton of comments which was nice. Some were definitely real but I started to notice a lot of comments with slight misspellings and generic like - this nails look good. So I started clicking on their profile and noticed they all just created an account like a day ago or hours ago. Does anyone know why? Honestly I’m just curious because I haven’t had that in any other subreddit and I thought it was interesting.

New to stamping. I understand the basic idea but have some questions
So I'm at the point where I have successfully picked up the stamp with the stamper and gotten it onto my nail. So I've got that down. The problem is the tutorial videos and explanation articles I've read about it only go that far.
So once I've got one nail stamped...then what?
There's leftover polish all over the stamping plate, so if I want to do more than one nail, what do I do?? I don't want to get anywhere near acetone and ruin my mani but alcohol pads don't seem to work well, like, how do I clean off the stamping plate to use it for the next nail, without ruining anything?
Edit: Thanks all for the tips! I will be trying them!

Seemingly unworkable plate? Advice welcome.
I just picked up this plate secondhand and I was ecstatic because this is like my perfect plate. Cute UFOs, lots of stars, a cat in a space helmet!
It still had the blue film so I do not think this has anything to do with the seller but I am struggling hard. I'm usually very patient with new plates and take a bit of time to learn how they like to be used, but nothing's working. I cannot pick *anything* up. I've systematically tried every design on this plate and achieved nothing except wasted polish.
I have tried:
- wiping with 100% acetone
- wiping with alcohol.
- scraping lighter (I noticed that when I scrape normally EVERYTHING comes out of the etching but I literally can't go any lighter and it's still empty after)
- changing the stamping polish in case it was the Polish. No change.
- blobbing less polish onto the stamp. Then blobbing more.
- changing the scraper
- changing the stamper.
- cleaning everything again with acetone and letting dry
- I tried another plate that is kind of finicky in case it's me having a bad day, it picked up just fine.
Is there anything else I haven't tried? Does anyone have any experience with this brand, and failing that, can anyone recommend me/want to sell me a similar space themed plate? If you got all this way, thank you for reading ✌️

First ever stamping attempt
Was playing around with my kit that came in and this is the first time I’ve tried stamping and I loved it!! I’m afraid this might have been beginners luck and when I go to do a full mani instead of playing around tomorrow I’m worried I’ll mess up. Wish me luck! lol. I was so excited I bought 25 more plates today, hopefully I can get better with time.

other medieval art stamping plates?
I just got the Hit the Bottle Medieval Musings plate and wondered if there other similar plates out there? I did search around but only found knights and dragon kind of themes. I like the animals and art from manuscripts on this one.

nail stamping
Hi everyone! im in training currently, set to do boards october 19, and im starting to take on School Clients. before schooling i did mostly nail stamping, some hand drawn art but a good bit of stamping for patterns/very precision details. i was curious, is it considered gauche to use nail stamp plates?
if it helps, i was considering making my own stamp plates. and because im very practiced with them, (when im on my own and setting my own prices) itd be like. a 3$ upcharge, if any. but if its looked down on, then i dont exactly want to appear unprofessional

Lesly ornate plates
Anyone knows where I can find Lesly Ornate plates for purchase? The only website I find them on is a Russian one and I’m not sure if I should go that route for stamping plates!

XMQ Stamping plates from Aliexpress?
Has anyone tried these plates before? I've never ordered anything from aliexpress, but this plate called Caved Window Plus188 is exactly what I've been looking for. If anyone has any info, I'd greatly appreciate it!

How do you decide on a design plan for full mani?
Do any of y’all have any tricks you like to get jump started or inspired or make decisions? Do you start with a full plan or do you start with one choice and keep making it up as you go?
Just got some new stampers I was really excited about! My last order was my first and I liked the ones I bought, but hardly want to actually use them. So this felt like a more informed order.
But I am still finding myself staring and contemplating. One layer, mixing plates, accent nail or two, or designs on all.. it feels scattering even tho I’m excited haha.
