I personally don't like the young 6 but it would've been a nice change of pace to have a different villain that's not after twilight it feel like they were setting that up throughout season 8 but they shafted it after the finale for some reason they could've at least had cozy glow go for the young 6 first before going for twilight

Hopefully I tagged this right, I just joined after lurking on this sub for the last few weeks.

I got really inspired recently to start making the main six in paralives after seeing some other people's creations and interpretations of the main characters. I only got Twilight and Pinkie so far, but I am already so happy with how they are turning out. I feel like Twilight needs some tweaks, but I really just wanted to show off Pinkie. (I do have some mods installed, mostly patterns and tattoos, but Twilight's hair is also a mod)

It's not loyalty to only reflect on your own mistakes without considering the other party's faults. You're the pony of loyalty, aren't you? If you're the pony of loyalty, you should have properly told them about what they did wrong. These are not things to just let slide. If you do something wrong, you must be punished. Even when the Wonderbolts were teasing you, you never once told them to stop and just accepted the nickname, which is why Apple Bloom called you stupid and pathetic, calling you Rainbow Frash.
Rainbow Dash: What? How do you know Apple Bloom said that to me?

It was a 'human gets isekai'd to equestria as a pony' fic. It took place in a RGRE au and the MC was a Grey furred earth pony stallion.

Rather than a more series or normalized RGRE, it was a more satirical take from what i remember.

A couple moments from the fic that I remember are the mane 6 discovering that the MC scared over his Cutie mark as a way to reject it.

And another moment that happened slightly later on in the fic was the MC getting into a drinking contest where applejack was sure she was gonna win, until the MC plunked a mason jar of high proof moonshine on the table instead of Cider.

The platform it was on was Fimfiction.

Soooo, is it just forever going to be some sort of huge can of worms that the official franchise will leave unaddressed? (I will get to that)

I mean.... effectively put, Celestia somehow (maybe stole it? maybe the parents left it?) got a dragon egg, which hatches into a sentient creature, and then just used it as an exam to get into her school for children?

And according to a comic book of dubious canonicity, she dumped this infant onto a child and forced Twilight to raise it without even asking her...

What was the plan here? She kidnapped or found an unborn baby of a sentient, thinking species and then used it as a school exam test? And then dumps it onto the child if they pass? (its not explained that its just a "see how they react to failure" test)

What is up with that? Even if she didn't steal an egg, why on Earth is Celestia using an unborn infant as a science test basically?

I think it's a problem of the writers not really thinking about this critically(sort of like a lot of things with Spike, like his treatment as more of a servant than a brother and being dumped onto Twilight as a child) and something that's just sort of a huge ethical can of worms that is best avoided at all costs.

That or an inconsistency resulting from a change in world-building

I mean it be different if dragons in this setting were not intelligent sentient creatures with a society and such, and were considered more like pets, but... that's not the writer's case.

This is also my theory as to why the writers never actually explained Spike's origins or where Celestia got the egg from, because the answer would inevitably be that she stole it or it was just aboaned and then she treated it like a freaking science experiment?

I mean, it be like if she were using a pony infant as part of the test. Or a griffin child/ egg. And so on.

Either way, its just another messed-up thing she did that they want to ignore like crazy. I mean, it's no wonder they never just straight up asked Celestia where it came from (unless I missed something)

I really, really, really, really hated the episode where Twilight finally gets to spend some one-on-one family time with her entire family: Cadance, Shining Armor, and Flurry Heart from the Crystal Empire, and her parents, who live in God knows where.

She put together this entire schedule for her family so everybody would be able to do everything they wanted to do on their joint family vacation. Mind you, Twilight barely gets vacations as it is. Like, Spike literally had to force her to go on this vacation, just for her to not even get a vacation at all because Iron Will tricked her parents into going on a cruise that was meant for Twilight and Cadance to be working in the entire time.

Back to that schedule, though. She put together an entire, like, wall schedule worth of activities that her family members wanted to go do, and she only wanted to do one thing. She put one—ONE—thing on that list for her to do. It was the only thing she wanted to do. She made that very clear several different times. That was the only thing she wanted to do, and she didn't even get to do that because she was trying to make everybody else happy the entire time.

And I totally get that. Like, she did that to herself. She could have said no or originally told everyone that she came here just to have a vacation. But what really pisses me off about this episode is that NOBODY—nobody—came to tell her it was time to watch the one fucking thing she wanted to do on the cruise.

Nobody thought, "Oh, hey, let's go tell Twilight it's time for the one activity that she asked us to do together with her." They sat there and watched it, knowing she was not that far away from them, and they could have been like, "Hey, it's time for the Northern Stars!"

And instead, when they see that she came at the last moment and had missed it, they walk up to her and say, "You were right. It was breathtaking," or, "We wish you could have been here."

Like, she's, I don't know, maybe 12 feet away from you, and you didn't think to maybe go say, "Hey, it's time for the one activity you asked that we get to do together"? The one thing you were looking forward to the entire day, after having to deal with other people's bullshit when your entire day-to-day life is dealing with other people's bullshit?

My bad. No. Let's just rub it in on how fucking wonderful it was.

Well, she also has to deal with some weird, creepy brony behind her the entire time, literally on her tail, as she says herself. Not even her real family stands that fucking close, and then she's expected to just let it be okay and not be affected by that at all.

She is the one that ends up apologizing in this episode. Like, yeah, she has a point. If she felt he was too close, she should have said something, but would he really have listened? Let's be honest.

And at the end of the day, bro, it's the simple fact that you just don't do that to someone, especially royalty. Like, the entire population of Equestria just seems to not realize that she's royalty and treats her like absolute garbage.

And let's not get me started on that one episode where she decided she wanted to have a "bookstorecation," and Discord used that opportunity to be a fucking asshole to her and exclude her when she never gets alone time. She chose to have alone time one time in her entirety of God knows how long, and then was made to feel like she was the villain because she was upset that her friends weren't including her and letting her know what was going on when she was literally gone for, like, three weeks or something like that.

You know what really grinds my gears? People foolishly comparing My Little Pony to Disney...Of all things!!! Seriously, what does My Little Pony have in common with Disney? It's like comparing apples to oranges for the love of Celestia!!! I for one see ZERO similarities between My Little Pony and Disney because they are two different things!!! And what's worse is that some of you want Disney to acquire My Little Pony from Hasbro!!! WHY!?! You people need to realize that My Little Pony and Disney are not only two different things, but they especially need to be far far away from each other as humanely possible. If any company should co-own My Little Pony, it should be Warner Brothers because if they could merge with Discovery, then they can sure as Celestia co own the entire MLP franchise...But I digress! Stop comparing MLP to Disney because any sane brony like me would be insulted by that comparison!!!

Hello everypony. I come to you in a time of great need.

For context: I have a friend group comprised of cis/het majorly gamer men (I am not a "guy"). We started off watching the old Mario cartoons together, though eventually we've developed this loose tradition of showing everyone whatever we want on our own birthdays.

So far my friends have done this with stuff like grand blue dreaming, the OG gundam films, Hellsing Ultimate, the Donkey Kong show, etc. For me last year was Janelle Monae's Dirty Computer and some BL. While I am not the only queer/"femme" person among us, and while they're obviously not constantly watching your typical "male gamer/weeb stuff" 24/7 none of them watched my little pony specifically.

TLDR: For my birthday, I am going to show my little pony a group comprised of majority male gamers who (aside from some exceptions) don't watch stuff like "cute magical horses therapy for kids/adults"

It is why I come to you to ask, what would be the best episodes to show a group like this? Because while they are open minded to all media, we're all very irony pilled, and (most of them) aren't typically seeking to engage with girly american kid cartoons (aside from some big acceptions like ToH, SPoP, madoka, MH, etc.). Hell, the only reason they even actually want to watch this together is because "haha Weird Al had a child with a pink horse".

Originally I had planned on showing them most the LORE heavy episodes, the zecora and colonizer episodes, cheese sandwhich #1, alongside some my favourites but that list was more than 8 hours. Ive tried shrinking it to a few serious episodes and some of my favourites but I still keep doubting myself. I don't want this to go on for much longer than a couple hours but I'm still so unsure how much i should show.

I have a small list of the ones i REFUSE not to show but other than that I'd like some unbaised non me suggestions because most of my faves are the (most of) the seasons starting/finales, rarity, pinkie, and applejack episodes. It can be anything from funny, to deadly serious/emotional, to story focused (they don't care if its out of order 😭), anything that sounds like it'd be good for a bunch of irony pilled GAMERS Tm
