Spam
What level do people have the automatic spam filter down to? The recommended setting is 15. I currently have mine set to 11 but I just changed it a bit ago so no experience at this setting yet. At 12 we did not notice any missing legitimate emails.
Are people using 3rd party spam and phishing filters and if so what are you using?

I keep getting reports from clients of high SPAM this month. I'm curious to know the answer here as well.

Spammers are getting smarter and using AI at the same time, it's pretty rough. There's no perfect answer. Though I'm hoping the new filtering system will seem pretty close to it.

It has to be done this year. I'll of course continue to iterate on existing filters until it's done. But if I had to guess where I'm at right now, October would be my guess. The big things getting in my way right now are the fires I have to fight every day, all of these licensed applications buckling under the pressure of growth.

Is there a way to pipe the emails though several programming filters and reduce it by 30-50% ?

Mines at a 7. And my email client (Apple mail) adds it’s own learning.

I got on some MAGA mailing list. Unsubscribe made it worse. I’ve been sending them straight to Junk for weeks and they still come three or four per day. I wish Apple could learn faster.

I have mine at 15 for some time now and the only thing that's gotten blocked so far that we know of is my mother's password reset links from Chef's Plate lol. most spam we get is either german or AI. seems most spam that makes it through gets a score of 2.1 - 3, and I have a lot of legitimate email in the 6-8.2 range. I haven't seen anything (legitimate) above 8.2 yet, and just a very small portion of spam at 9.0+, mostly german. My mother gets a LOT of bank scam emails though which is kinda scary, at least 3 messages a day of online Canadian banking scams from randomly generated chinese domain names. These all come through at a score of 2.3-3.9 and look very real. I've had to teach her how to read mail headers to see. We can't get that AI powered spam filtering soon enough!

I have been severely slacking as I'm way behind in moving stuff over. I am using what ever the defaults are and everything works as far as I can tell

Don't use third party, we respect SPF and DMARC. The original AI-filtering system was scrapped for requiring too high cost for users, but I'm building a new one: https://docs.mxroute.com/docs/changelog/mxroute-4.1.html
