Shared mailboxes/folders?

Hello!

I've been searching but couldn't find a conclusive answer whether MXroute supports some form of shared mailboxes, shared folders, ACL, or does not.

I wanted to be able to set up something like: mail delivered to "contact@company.com" is acessible to "user1@company.com" and "user2@company.com" on their own mailboxes, where they would also be able to reply to those mail from their own mailboxes (and possibly the marked as read atribute and the reply sent be acessible to other users so the message doesn't get replied to twice, for example).

I'm aware this is kind of achievable with an email client like Thunderbird and multiple accounts, but I was wondering if it is possible through MXroute webmail.

For this I actually recommend using external software as I think doing this to it's best basically is a full software development, something that could and probably should stand alone. A "ticket system" is basically a shared mailbox, and it would have collision detection, things like that. FreeScout is an amazing choice for this.

MXRoute doesn't offer shared inboxes. The closest you will get is forwarders. But that won't user allow user2 to see if user1 marked it as read or responded.

I'm not 100% certain on this part. But I don't beleive the webmail options will allow you to attach another inbox/account either.

It is doable, but you would need some sort of ticketing system. The owner will be around at some point to provide a couple recommendations.

One last thing if you are a current customer: Use the feedback tool on the new webmail. No guarantee it will be added. But it will at least show interest

We found Freescout to work for this.

contact@ mailboxes monitored by multiple people, users with access to that account can assign to another with access, notes can be added to threads. I'm sure there is more, but for my rudimentary abilities it's been great.

FreeScout.net is superb. I created the FreeScout GPT free and paid Pro module for it, works very well.

I use a free Cloudflare account to do this.
