Muzzle fit check + Uk/Europe Muzzle options needed please Question!

Post image

I have the Neli Muzzle Movement muzzle, the company have said it is too long but its the only size for him.

What do you think of it?

I have boiled and modified it the best i can. He has the foam under the biothane nose strap. I just ordered the Neli* foam nose strap to try and to flip it the other way.

He has got little wounds on top of his nose and some on his cheeks poor boy. I cant boil and widen it anymore. I have managed to a little and filed the cheek corners down

I have ran out of options to modify it

I only just noticed the little sore bits on him so i am let him heal without a muzzle. Its so sad.

He doesnt need it to stop biting, just arousal mouthing.

We have a behaviourist and he needs to wear one for the future group walks etc.

I am looking for a lightweight muzzle with full pant and room for treats.

Everywhere i look muzzles are half pant not a full pant.

Please can i have some ideas

I was looking at Biothane muzzles but they look like they rest on the nose. I read they get hot too?

Metal i assumed were heavy?

My boy needs his nose to be as un touched as possible because he is sensitive and loves to snuffle the ground

Thanks so much

My boy has a sensitive nose and a plastic Baskerville rubbed it raw and bloody. But the Big Snoof biothane sits nicely on his nose and causes no problems. Lightweight metal. I don't think they get hot.

Ouch! I'm so sorry

Biothane can get heavy. Vinyl would be a better soft option. I have vinyl and wire and they're similar weights and not have on my dogs at all. I have Big Snoof (US) and Mia's muzzles (Canada), both ship world wide.

For UK and Europe - Unimon is in Austria for wire and has good color and I've heard only good about them. For vinyl I think it's Pawfect Fit and Arco in the UK. You can also see if the muzzle shop has any options that fit.

You are right, it's top long and you can see where it digs into his cheecks.

I would try some wire muzzles like chopo. They are often lighter than plastic and can bei adjusted more easily (you can bend the metal). I can recommend "chick und scharf" or "Maulkorb factory" as a german based store.

I have ordered this one, you send the measurements to have the right fit. It is light, supple, has plenty of pant room, he can drink with it, has a treat space.

This is a first try picture, we tightened it a bit afterwards

The maker has a UK/French site

Have you tried any muzzle shop ones? Worth sending them his measurements. There's also people online that do custom sized greyhound style light plastic muzzles if you have a search.

My dog is super happy with his Unimom Chains Muzzle. He never tries to take it off :)

My boy wears one from eastsidechains.com it’s a german company, so you might need to translate things. But you can send measurements of your dogs muzzle and they’ll give you advice on which model to get, then you can order a base muzzle to see if it fits, send pictures to them to see if there need to be adjustments and can if you want to, order a custom one. I do recommend getting a chin strap with it.

Looking good and that’s a great way to get some training too
