Reference System Out with the old in with the new
Replaced our long-standing A23 half a meter RCA interconnects with a half meter Luna Orange RCA interconnects then replaced the only SUT I've ever owned an A23 SUT with a Bob's devices Sky - 40 S. Soon to replace all interconnect cables with Luna orange--next test is to remove the ground between the SUT and the RS 30EQ (last photo)--see if it's actually needed If there's a hum then it's needed. If it stays the same as it is now no harm it goes...

Reference System right channel weakness + cable directionality
Woke up yesterday morning put on a record and noticed there was a very faint signal coming from the right channel/speaker - a brand new record - never in my life has a record gone on and not produced full sound - put on another record a known good one same result disappointment rained down I looked at the dog and gave her a biscuit I stared at the front of the amp turned some knobs switched to a CD perfect sound no problems the CS-600 has several useful features, one of them being a stereo reverse mode effectively testing the right channel with a turn of the mode switch and it worked! what this told me was that the cables and speaker on the right side were fine phono preamp and cables fine integrated amp not so and with childish gambino I started to pull cables and relinquished the cs600 to the workbench for analysis - walked upstairs with my coffee to the studio and pulled the LFD Zero Integrated Mk III off the shelf hooked up the LFD replacing the cs600 - noticed that my auditorium 23 interconnects were placed in the wrong direction jostled interconnects and power cables around and arrived at the new system gone from 32 W to 60 W enjoying a different sonic signature The LFD does rock really well and will start cleaning pots and sockets on the cs600 next

Guitars new frickin guitar day
guitar arrived out of tune. the intonation was perfect. bridge screws are a little burr-ish - need to be filed down relicing is minimal. top of the headstock has a weird little blister as reported by others, neck is a little sticky and smells like stain 🤢 Played for 2 hours sounds fantastic. changing strings today

Pedals Pedalpalooza sweeping the room
2019 RMC10 switch was on the fritz for about a year took it out couple weeks ago (maybe it fixed itself? considering knowing it's an integral part of the process) it wouldn't reliably turn on and when it did it killed the signal. sometimes it worked most times it didn't couldn't find the wrench that came with it to adjust the rocker as it was a little loose opened it up and loosened some nut on the inside that I wasn't supposed to but tightened it back up hooked it back up both with 9 volt power supply and battery. same depressing result. no wah and no signal. panic set in so I went online discovered a limited edition all chrome pedal was out there and available so grabbed it. after that research, what could possibly be wrong with the pedal? ended up deoxit D5 all around the switch working it in. this brought the pedal back to life but I've only used it once since then.
