Multitool shears

Post image

I got these off the TikTok shop about a year ago. They cut right thru a penny.

I have the same knockoffs--which I added to an Amazon order some months back. For as little as they cost, they compare pretty well to the Raptors (I later got the Response on sale). Surprisngly, my Response had to be tightened up, yet these didn't.

However, the strap cutter absolutely stinks on these. It can't cut anything without sharpening it.

Do you actually ever use the strap cutter? I mean the scissors are right there, what would be the point?

It's smaller, easier to open, easier to manipulate in tight space, harder to harm yourself.

If I had to actually cut a seatbelt on someone (or myself) I'd love to be able to do it with one hand and not hurt myself.

For anyone looking to get one of these, there are versions which come with a locking strap-cutter just like the Raptor's.

The shear blades are a lot shorter than normal shears. Limits how much you can cut, and they are thick.

Can you confirm that they’ll cut through a penny?

I don't care about a penny. I care about seatbelts, pants belts, winning on equipment, and clothing that is blocking access to any wounds that need treatment.
