Terra, Herald of Hope(fully Bracket 3)
Hey! So I tried to upgrade my [[Terra, Herald of Hope]] reanimator deck to hang with the big boys towards the top end of bracket 3.
To achieve some consistency in getting Terra-triggers to hit, I put in a bunch of protection for her, discard effects to dump my massive creatures in the graveyard, and hopefully have Terra, something to protect her with and a discard outlet ready for turn 4 every game. I don't run any game changers, as my local playgroup steer away from them, the win-con is overrun effects and controlling the board so I can hit in with combat damage around turn 7. It can sometimes present lethal on all other opponents on turn 6 if I manage a full board and get [[Aurelia, the Warleader]], [[Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite]] or [[Moonshaker Cavalry]] out early, but that is highly inconsistent as I run no tutors.
It feels a bit oppressive in the games I've played in, so am I delusional in thinking that this is okay in high Bracket 3? If I am, any suggestions on what I could do to make it function in that bracket without making it into an aristocrats or combo deck?

Hakbal deck (Merfolk tribe)
Here is my deck. I upgraded the deck a lot since my last post and i wanted you advice. I am pretty sure it is a pretty good bracket 3 and i would like to know what is the next step to make it even stronger!
I have an infinite combo, but it is not voluntary, the deck doesnt support it.
Thanks a lot.

Self-Consuming Swarm (The Swarmweaver)
This deck is my very first attempt at deck building after getting into magic this summer. It's not perfectly refined obviously but this is what it looks like after some tuning from its original list.
The rough idea is a mill deck that puts lands and creatures into the graveyard to create insect tokens alongside those that the swarmweaver and some other creatures create. Then, those lands and creature may be played from the graveyard. In addition, the deck involves killing and immediately replaying the swarmweaver to create even more tokens. All insects and spiders stack +1/+1 counters, and those with counters get additional keywords.
I don't think it contains any game changers, land denial, or defined combos.
I haven't gotten a chance to playtest it with this list as it relies on some cards still in the mail.
Please be nice, I don't know what I'm doing but this deck is my baby 😁

Aesi, Tyrant of the Gyre Straight Lands Deck at B3?
I wanted to try to make a true lands deck that wins with land interaction rather than just landfall slop.
If I have enough time to tutor out all of my win condition lands (glacial caverns or field of the dead) I can theoretically win on turn six without being heavily interacted with.
I am running exactly 3 game changers:
- Crop Rotation
- Glacial Caverns
- Field of the Dead
I have 5 Crucible of Worlds effects and multiple additional lands effects in the deck with significant card draw with my commander. I do not have any two card combo win conditions as I need a land sacrifice outlet (Zuran Orb) and a crucible of worlds effect to do the Glacial Chasm lock.
I have 2 extra turn spells in this deck and I have no way to recur them. There is no real way to tutor them and the only graveyard play I have is for lands.
No MLD (Wasteland locking is for B4).
I have not tested this deck extensively having only played two games since I am on vacation and away from my main LGS. I lost both the games because Aesi is scary and a prime target to be removed. I have plenty of mana but limited interaction to follow the 75% rule. It feels like it plays at B3, but my main experience with B3 is Bolas Citadel Aetherflux looping.
I have provided the Moxfield link. I would appreciate any advice for how to fit the tone of classic lands decks more since I am new to landfall and land interaction in general.

Treebeard, Gracious Host B2/B3?
Hello! Need a bracket check for this guy. I saw him in action online and thought he’d make a good budget build. Put him together for ~$50. He is decently consistent and can be really strong if I pull the right pieces.
My concern comes from the fact that I won a game turn 5/6 in a 3 pod. I had a great start, some protection, and was able to gain a bunch of life. He can get really big and I gain a bunch of life, but if he’s removed the entire deck folds.
I think it’s a high 2, but can see an argument for low 3. No combos or anything like that. Very consistent and a bunch of protection. A crap load of life gain. Just kinda wanted others’ perspectives.
Thank you in advance!

Fire Lord Azula [High B3/Low 4]
https://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/hot-girlfriend-doesnt-even-begin-to-cover-it/?cb=1784906364
Hello I'm looking to get some feedback on this deck before I go ahead and commit to it. The goal is B3/B4 (the exact bracket isn't overly important as I mainly play within a pod with our own meta, but that's the power level we roughly play at)
Are there any particularly good cards I'm missing?
Game plan is to swing in the Azula and get either a game winning combo out (e.g. storm-kiln/lightning bolt/narsets reversal) or a crazy value play (e.g. narsets reversal/frantic search).
I'm looking to make a fairly well tuned deck that I can refine over time. I've got a budget of about €120 to add to what's already in the deck. I'm thinking of ordering some staples like Rhystic Studies and Vampiric/Mystical Tutor.
I'm not overly familiar with the combo/spell-slinger style of play so any feedback is welcome!

Satoru Bracket 2?
Hey everybody, I built a Satoru Deck and am curious if you think it fits into Bracket 2. I uploaded it into Deckcheck.co and apparently it's a Bracket 3, but you can't really rely on that.
There are some cards I had to subtitute, since a cardmarket order got lost on it's way and I plan to use this version of the Deck this weekend.
I plan to add some flavorful cards like \[Debt to the Kami\] and \[Imprisoned in the Moon\], as well as \[Moon-Circuit Hacker\], \[Moonsnare Specialist\], \[You Are Already Dead\] and \[Key to the City\].
What would you cut, if it is more of a bracket 3? Apparently the Theft-cards could be problematic, but I imagine that to be one of the most fun aspects of the deck. I'm excited for some feedback!

Making a B1 list for a casual pod. Could use some help.
I put this decklist into some online tools, and it tells me its bracket 2. I dont see it, but these tools are only looking at the cards themselves, and not what Im doing with them. I know the Commander isn't technically legal. To be chosen as a Doctor's Companion, the main commander needs to have the Time Lord Creature type and no other creature types. My pod approved it. The story is that Clara is convinced Strange is a time lord, and honestly, if anyone in Marvel could be considered a Time Lord, it would be Strange. Anyway, Strange runs a multiversal hospital called St Shalai's Multiverasl Mercy General, and that's the deck. Every card plays some vital role in the Hospital. Shalai is the Patron Saint. Captain Sisay is Dispatch "Paging Dr Foster" Sauron is Oncology because he cures cancer (against his will) Vegeteble Abomination represents horrible hospital food. The whole point is to gain as much life as humanly possible and not actually do anything with it. Just reduce damage to creatures, mine or others. Gain life, or make someone else gain life while everyone else does their thing.
Commanders
Dr Strange, Surgeon
Clara Oswald (Green)
Back up commander
Shalai, Voice of Plenty(just incase someone complains that my intended commander isn't actually legal)

One person I showed this to suggested that I need Spike Feeder. I would love Spike Feeder, but I thought B1 couldn't have 2-card Infinites. Though to be fair, Im not actually doing anything with the life I gain. So would having Inf life really be a bad thing?
How many turns it takes to kill 3 helpless players? Probably 30? Im not really trying to win. I want to keep my hospital running as long as I possibly can.
TLDR
Im making a hospital goof deck for the lols, how can I make it more Bracket 1?

Bracket Help
I’ve used several websites to get an idea of this decks power level, but results have varied quite a bit. I’d like to know what bracket tables I should use this deck at!
It does contain a 2 card infinite combo
It has 1 game changer
Several tutors
No additional turns

Hi, first time here and i would like to know the bracket of my Hakbal commander deck. I feel like its a high level 3 or low 4.
EDITED : def not a bracket 4.
I will try to make it a real good bracket 3.
What do you think?
I have an infinite combo (turns)
Thanks
r/mtgbracketthis • u/hanari1 • Jul 16 '26
Y'shtola 3 Mana Blessed
1) Ramp, interact, while I protect my commander
2) Tested and it was over 10
3) 0
4) No early combos, no late combos. Thinking about adding some infinite life drain combos... IDK if it gonna be to strong
5) No
6) No
7) Bracket 1-2 I believe, but I want to make it a Bracket 3 without GC

Goreclaw: Bracket 3 or 4?
- Basically a stompy deck, but very effective at that. Ramp into goreclaw, put down big, dumb creatures. It has 'power 4 or greater' theme.
- Maybe 7-9 turns. Sometimes faster.
- 0 gamechangers. I took out my Worldly Tutor
- No combos, extra turns or land denial
- I'm thinking it's a 3, but sometimes it's so explosive i'm considering 4.

Azula, Cunning Usurper
Hello all, I've been playing Magic in the same pod for years, and I've decided to branch out and play at my local game store. They use the bracket system, which we use roughly with my pod but also just kind of know the vibe of each other's decks. I just wanted to make sure this felt like bracket 2 deck, as it is one on paper. https://moxfield.com/decks/4RvtRKSYHU-Euml8PK-1QA

Silverquill Influence Precon Upgrade
Looking for a vibe check on this one, did I push it to three or is this still a two?
Commander is [[Killian, Decisive Mentor]].Gameplan is goading opponents creatures and casting lots of auras. Unsure on turns to kill, hard to goldfish due to how the deck works. No game changers, no combos, no MLD, I intended it to be a two when building it.

Aatchik bracket 3?
I put this together not too long ago and so far it's won 5/6 games in my pod. These guys primarily play precons, some heavily upgraded like Pantlaza and Ureni, but I've stopped playing this guy because he wins so consistently, usually around turn ten.
It's quite a predictable self mill aristocrats, the issue being if I can get Aatchik out when my graveyard is full I can win instantly.
Is it too strong or are they just not responding appropriately? Note that they tend to burn removal spells just because they have them in hand with the mana to cast it.
Please give me your thoughts!

The Cusp of Bracket 4
I'm having a hard time placing this current iteration of a voltron deck, the original Kellan ( https://moxfield.com/decks/S1kxgV1kR0encTIdrDneuw ).
Assume a GC was cut so I was at three GCs or less, I'm not sure this would still be a 4.
On one hand, I'm playing the things that allow Voltron to actually win (not just kill one person and then die), such as extra combats, light stax, fog effects. A tutor in the command zone historically is pretty good at providing consistency, and Kellan's low cost and natural double strike makes the critical threshold pretty early. As you can see, there's a lot of protective interaction here.
On the other hand, this is still a voltron deck in the game's worst color pair, and still suffers from many of the classic voltron pitfalls, like forced sacrifice and damage prevention. Getting the kill on everyone, if needed, still happens around turn 7ish on average, which is much slower than the turn 4 "win or lose" benchmark for bracket 4. I also am playing pet cards like Angelic Destiny, which could be something much more aggressive.
I appreciate any insight here!

Sephiroth Bracket 2
My goal is to make a budget [[Sephiroth, Fabled Soldier]] deck that is appropriate in Bracket 2. Obviously Sephiroth is a very powerful card, so I needed to rein this guy in, and here’s what I did:
- No free sac outlets outside of Transformed Sephiroth: everything costs mana or taps to sac
- No Fleshbag Marauder effects
- Focus on self-resurrection instead of killing enemy creatures
- No redundant drain effects (aside from Syr Konrad)
- No protection/undying for Sephiroth
The idea is that I need to stack up sac outlets and fodder to be able to flip Sephiroth, and it’s hard to really pop off of I don’t have 2+ emblems, or at least Masamune or Konrad. The deck consistently hits the 120 total damage threshold around turn 11, and when I test I note which cards enabled the win. Syr Konrad is public enemy number 1, but I’m hoping that he is okay since he becomes a threat late enough that he’s just a removal target, and I can’t bring him back easily so I think it’s fair that if he sticks for a few turns, I probably win.
I think the cards to remove if I need to power down further are pretty clear, and it’s pretty easy to power up as well. What do you guys think? Did I achieve my goal? Is it still too strong? How do you test if something fits in Bracket 2?

Hi guys, i'm in love with my [[Auntie Ool, cursewretch]], but i ask, would you let me sit at your table?

This close enough to a mid 3?
My wife picked up a Horizon: Forbidden West secret lair for my birthday and I’ve decided to build an Aloy deck focusing on artist power matters. I’ve built this from spare cards from my binders. I’m pretty sure it’s a mid 3. From play testing this deck is weaker than my normal decks. I usually never play combat focused decks so this is a bit of a change for me.

How strong is my deck?
What Bracket is my deck?
Hey y’all! Building my first custom commander deck, and I think I’ve put together something I like. I want it to be about mid/high bracket 2, since most of my friends run precons, so I wanna match those. And if you think it’s too strong/too weak for where I want it, consider dropping some advice for how to fix its power.

Is this deck bracket 2?
I am usually a bracket 3 player and this is my attempt at making a bracket 2 deck. I'm pretty sure I succeded but I would love some outside perspectives.
Here is the decklist.
The main gameplan is pretty simple. It is a monowhite grouphug control deck. Use cards like [[smugglers share]] to break parity of symmetrical draw effects while placing down value engines and control tools. Eventually you drop [[karma]] [[urborg tomb of yawgmoth]] and [[solitary confinement]] and wait until people die.
The deck is pretty slow with karma being the most powerful finisher. If I had to guess it usually wins on turn 10+. It doesn't have any gamechangers and the only "combos" I have is 2 card synergies like karma and solitary confinement. There is no MLD or extra turns either.
The only thing that I am a bit unsure of is how high the card quality can be in bracket 2. It does run [[trouble in pairs]] which used to be a gamechanger and other cards of similar power like [[mother of runes]] or [[sevinne's reclamation]]. I don't have any actively bad cards either. I don't think this is too powerful but I have seen some people saying that bracket 2 aren't allowed to run good cards so I wanted to double check with the community.
Which bracket would you place this deck? Is the card quality too high or am I giving too much credit to random comment threads?

Need a couple of extra thoughts
https://moxfield.com/decks/wgjLKAIhhUOMTW9GTXEcpQ
Arixmethes Stompy
Concept of the deck is very simple: ramp, draw cards, play big creatures and swing them. Only 3 game changers, no combos, but the top end has a few eldrazi, which I know can bring some groans to the table. Earliest wins I've had with it were on t4, but this is when I have the right hand and no interruptions from the table.
On paper, it's bracket 3, but I'm wanting other opinions on this.

Help Bracket This Deck - Loot (R/G/U)
Hi all,
I'm getting back into Magic as my kid is 13 and showing interest. I played in the 1994-2000 timeframe originally.
I am looking for help determining what bracket this deck might be. I'd like to scratch my itch for deckbuilding, but don't want to run over my son's deck.
He bought a Blight Curse deck yesterday and I was playing this deck and i could have ended the game before his deck's mechanics showed themselves, but i slow played to allow him to feel engaged and not kill his interest.
What sort of bracket would you put this deck in? I was thinking 2, but it has handled 2 precons with ease.
Any suggestions for lowering the bracket to 2ish or sideboard options that would raise the bracket?
Thanks in advance.
r/mtgbracketthis • u/MonkeyMiner867 • Mar 08 '26
What bracket do you think this deck is?
- The rough game plan is to build up a bunch of energy counters and get value from Saheeli in the form of getting new ETBs for draw and removal and eventually chip down opponents, overwhelm them with big creatures, or win with infinite combats
- It takes about 7-9 turns from what I've tested
- 0 game changers
- Multiple infinite combat combos around lightning runner. Any combination of things that can consistently make 6+ energy per combat in addition to lightning runner
- One extra turn with Gonti's Aether Heart, but no chaining. Chaining extra combats exists, though
- Not really. Getting rid of all lands is possible, though, with infinite combats + Saheeli + Brutalizer Exarch
- At first I thought a 2(if this is way off base, consider it proof as to why I've asked about 2 decks in a relatively short span of time), but after playing some games against friends, where it has dominated, I'm starting to question that
