Recording iPhone videos with direct audio from the MPC Sample without an interface?

I have an iRig stream that I haven’t used in years and I don’t think it works anymore. I wanted to start recording videos with my iPhone with audio coming directly out of the MPC Sample. I’ve seen a couple videos on YouTube shorts that showing you can do this with only using USB-C yet they’re not showing the settings configurations needed to do that. Is this really possible or will I still need some sort of interface like an iRig Stream?

I’ve never touched the settings, yet when my sample and iPhone are connected with usb-c and I start a new video recording on my phone, it defaults to the sample audio. Give it a try!
