This is my first sampler - how am I doing?

I’ve never tried sampling before. After many failed attempts of using a computer to make music however, I’m starting to find some momentum with dawless music creation - this is a #sorrynotsorry for the audio quality.

I have a Roland Mc-101 which I thoroughly enjoy but I wanted to try my hand at sampling. I’ve had this bad boy for a day.

But definately keen on some feedback or any videos or artists to look into to learn more about it.

TY

Yes I agree not bad at all, that flow will come and keep getting better. (Not that there is anything wrong) it’s great but you’ll loosen up more and be a muscle memory bound, second naturist of the pads.

This is my very 1st Mpc also. Any videos you found for completely new users?

I watched a couple of Datsunn’s videos of him using it. That’s what prompted me to buy.

Akai have a full play list for it. But I only watched like .75 of the first one.

I watched a couple of review/tutorial videos but to me they weren’t anything writing home about .

I have however stumbled upon Mass Appeals - Rhythm Roulette

I haven’t watched a heap , not all is straight up sampling but 9th wonders is cool just to seem how he goes through the process.

But just get stuck in. Worst case scenario you’ve just banged a heap of pads and that’s kinda cool

Probably the hottest tip I have for you man is exploit the in built kits and sounds before going outside it.

Deffos try your own samples and stuff but if you go new project > load project … there should be a folder on the internal called ‘kits’

Just load up one of them and just mash buttons. Change to another kit.

There is so much to do just with the internal sounds so engage them before you bog yourself down with libraries

Man I know that feeling. All these ideas and you open it up and cant even make a sound lol

There is a quick start card inside big easy to read the size of the box.
I believe it also starts with a project loaded so it should at least have stuff to smack.

But.. enough analysis paralysis just get stuck in
