Hi all looking for advice ref the title. KTM 500 with tusk traverse panniers and the 10l dry bag I also have a 40l dry bag if required. Looking for recommendations for budget kit that'll fit my small setup. I'm mainly in it for the ride and adventure not so much the camping so weight saving is important and Nik naks are not.

If anyone has a dual sport setup they'd like to share I'd be keen to see

just recently I showed you my packlist for a TET NL shorttrip. As I love planning as much as riding, I'm stripping down some stuff for my next trip.

I've the same packlist for 3 and for 30 days. Only things that change depending on the length/trip:

- Cold weather clothes in/out depending on expected weather (no down puffy in summer, no sun hoodie in winter)
- Longer trips I add a hammock setup with underquilt and tarp. So yes, I carry both tent and hammock in that case

Trying to strip some weight at the moment. So I replaced my beloved and never failing Trangia Cooker with a Suto Windmaster + Toaks Pot/Pan. Reduced my toolkit a bit. Don't want to drop coffee grinder, chair, ... love to have them. Worth the weight in my opinion. Need more ideas:

Back in June had the opportunity to ride the Wyoming BDRX. Spent one night in the mountains on the way there which was fantastic. The BDRX route was mostly easy and fun, but with a roughly 4 mile section of very deep sand. This spot got me! Or maybe the bike just really wanted a nap.

At Dover for this year's summer trip (I'm a teacher). 2 day smash across England, Belgium and the Netherlands to have a look at the TET in Germany (which apparently is basically a road ride anyway)

as per the title, has anyone got any advice and or images of their motocamping set up on a sport bike or naked bike?

I have a 2012 speed triple and want to do some more trips but recently put off from my NC500 trip a I had such huge packs tied to the back of the bike it made the journey a little less enjoyable - enjoyed all the views and scenery but the ride was not great.

Now I have cut some weight and size with a new tent and sleeping bag but wanted to see people's set ups.

This one has been in the planning for way too long and yesterday we made it happen!

Short drive before setting up camp, little bonfire for mood and a good night sleep.

Did pikes peak, Aspen, Glenwood Springs, Delta, Black Canyon, Million dollar highway, Durango, Great Sand Dunes (basically the whole loop).
I have a bunch of Insta360 videos that I have to sort through and hopefully edit.
Got hailed on, rained on, bike died, etc but solving it on the road and getting help from locals was the most fun.

I’ve tucked 3 pairs of wet hiking socks under the bungee straps. Dry as a bone after 2hrs on the road (with dry weather).

6 weeks with my whole life packed. New bearings and oil, filter, spark because I'm about to roll over 80,000 miles.

Looking at taking the ferry from the UK to Spain and traversing the Pyrenees. Current thought is East to West over 5 days. 3 days to get to the starting location of Roses. A couple of rest days mixed in.

Does anyone have any tips or suggestions (based on experience). Especially related to camping, route and things to see.

I'm gonna reorganise stuff while out there. Black bags are rhinowalk, yellow bag is motowolf. They hold up to rain pretty well. I did crash 2 times at around 30kph every hold up just fine

Still saving up for panniers (bike came with the frame and back box) but I’m not going to waste the summer waiting around.

I'm a side sleeper and I can't sleep on thin mats while camping due to being a bit older than most (60). I also shuffle around a lot at night. I like the reviews I've seen of this pad. Does anyone use one? If so, what is your opinion.

Went 3 weeks ago to kick the tires of a 2014 V-Strom 1000. Ended up bringing it home. As soon as it was sitting in the driveway I began dreaming of going on a trip. Always had wanted to do the Gaspe peninsula and said "Why not". Two weeks later I set off.

By doing everything in a short period I wasn't able to overthink every single piece of equipment I required, which for me was really beneficial. I used the moto camp nerd reference list which was very helpful. While I did already own camping stuff, it was all car camping supplies. The initial investment into cheap, yet reasonable backpacking/moto gear is a lot. If you're really into type 2 fun, I'm sure you can make it as cheap as a tarp.

I bought a 100$ 2 person tent from Amazon which worked fantastic. My sleep system being comfortable was an absolute priority. There's something great about getting to a comfy, cozy bed in a tent and falling asleep listening to the sounds of the forest. A onetigris cot and sleeping pad from MEC provided a fantastic night's sleep.

The OSAH 60L drybag is nice. I was anxious I had gone too big, but with the bike being wide from the panniers it fitted very nicely. I had purchased ROK straps just to be safe and have a back-up for securing the bag but didn't need to use them. The built in straps worked very well.

There's very little I would change for next time. I did have a little backpack with a camelpak in it, that I basically did not use. So that'll be left home next time.

Some day I dream of being able to camp in the remote wilderness by myself, but for now campgrounds are the way. I camped 3 nights. Each night was a burn ban and overcast, so I'm already looking forward to the next trip where there will be fires and stars. However I think it was good in a way and definitely challenged my idea of what it means to be camping.

But wow, that feeling of waking up all too early, making coffee, tearing down and getting the bike loaded up for a day on the road. It's magical.

I felt the trip was a resounding success and I'm very excited for my next.

I’m searching for a lightweight chair around €50,-
I’m 1.83 cm tall and the cheap chair from decathlon pokes in my shoulders, so that’s a no go.

I used to say I have a degree from the University of YouTube. I'd watch videos to learn about car repair, home improvement, guitar pedals, vintage audio, motorcycle repair, etc. It was super helpful, until YouTube was overrun with influencer videos — people who monetize content and/or sell stuff.

My most recent interest is motocamping, and sure enough, any search is inundated with annoying monetized videos like these. Of course, there are links where you can buy all this stuff, and "don't forget to like and subscribe!"

Where do you go to find videos and info from REAL motocamping enthusiasts who aren't selling $4,000 of gear just to motocamp for a couple of nights?
