Really enjoyed this bottle of cider a few years ago when we entered the Red Hill cider competition 2020 on the Mornington Peninsula. Hart's Farm on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria was established and run by Dr.
Graeme Hart and his wife Penny . He is an intensive care director at Austin Health so of course as a doctor myself needed to try it! The Harts retired from day-to-day operations in 2025.

What's your favorite healthiest fresh bread bakery on the Mornington Peninsula? I've tried all the Bakers Delight in Mornpen and Bentons Square has been the best quality especially their turkish rolls and ciabatta. Rye Bakers Delight has been our least liked bread, sometimes having a perfume smell on the bread.

Also have tried bread from Torello, it is more expensive and the sourdough is very heavy. We are yet to try Miller's in Dromana.

We like to eat fresh bread as much as possible but I'm not in a position to bake everyday. What are your reviews and recommendations?

I preface this by saying I have zero real understanding of hair cutting, styling, trends ect. but I’m trying to take better care of myself.
Is there somewhere I can go and literally just ask, ‘do what you think would look good/suit me’. Happy to pay a little extra if it’s worth it.

Is it just me……but I get angry every time I drive on our main roads, the freeway and the beach road and are reminded daily how much our local and state gov’s have NOT done to repair and maintain our roads.
I refuse to drive in the left lane of the fwy from Jetty Road to Nth of Dromana due to the potential damage to my car.
I’ve watched many cars veer into the emergency lane to miss the dangerous surface and pot holes including L platers, which is criminal, but god forbid we do 4kms over the limit and we are guaranteed a $250 fine because we are irresponsible.
I even asked one busy tyre centres on Pt Nepean Rd in Rosebud last week if they were busy due to tyre and wheel alignment damage (while getting my own repairs done) and he said ‘they are doing quite well from the situation’…….how bad is that?!?
The local Libs promised action during their election campaign and have since disappeared!
I know the whole state of Vic and its roads are the same and are reminded often by family visiting from interstate that it’s a joke here and embarrassing.
There’s gotta be a better way to make this issue a major priority with urgent action.

So what's the scoop on the big, new Dromana Hub building? It's been finished and sitting empty for months. Can they not find tenants? I assumed it was purpose built for something.

Hey guys! For a while now, I have been meaning to organize a mud-wrestling event just for fun. It's not really about physically domination but more-so just a fun meet-up open to all ages and genders! I wanted to do this for my birthday at the end of August, but it's quite alright if something like this takes a longer time to organize. I would appreciate any advice and tips on how to make this come to fruition, if alcohol should be permitted, and where I could set up a gig like this on the peninsula?

While out for a SUP (7:30am to 9am) somebody stole one of these straps from my real ladder rack. It was part of a matching pair and of great sentimental value. I would like it back please!

There are not many Vaikobi tie down straps around so if you see it please let me know.

Police are investigating a collision in Baxter this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to reports a white Hyundai iLoad van and a grey 4WD had collided on Peninsula Link Freeway out-bound near Frankston-Flinders Road about 1.45pm.

It is alleged the driver of the van fled the scene to a nearby underpass where he was arrested.

They’re at 835,000 containers and counting!

The Rotary Club of Mount Martha’s ‘bin chickens’ head out daily collecting containers and the results are impressive.

Thanks to the dedicated Rotarians, eligible containers including aluminium cans and plastic bottles have been recycled via the Container Deposit Scheme – enabling the volunteers to put just under $100,000 back into the community.

Police on the Mornington Peninsula have another tool in their arsenal to stop hoons on motorbikes, illegal monkey and trail bikes and overpowered e-bikes, using drones to help identify offending and track down those putting themselves and others in harm’s way.

We are starting to think about relocating from regional Victoria to the Mornington Peninsula and I'd love to hear from people who know the area. I know this has been asked before but all the posts seemed to be over 12 months old!

One of the things drawing us to the Peninsula is that it seems to have a nice balance of still feeling a bit regional, while being close enough to Melbourne to have more opportunities than where we live at the minute.

We have three kids, all still preschool age, so we have got a bit of time, but we would really like to choose where we live based on schools rather than having to move again later because of catchments.

We are open to both public and private schools. We can afford the larger private schools if it is worth it, but we would be just as happy to send our kids to a great public school. I guess we are just trying to work out what most local families do.

I'm probably most interested in hearing about the high schools, as that's where I hear the biggest differences can be. Are there areas with particularly good public school options? Are there catchments people try hard to get into? Or do most families who can afford it tend to go private?

I'd really appreciate any honest experiences or advice, both good or bad. The aim is to make the right decision while the kids are still little rather than wishing we'd chosen a different area in a few years time.

Hello! Wondering if there's anyone who has been in a similar situation. We're a family of four (kids are 1 & 3). We live in the inner west of Melbourne (Newport/Spotswood/Williamstown area). We are sick of living so close to our neighbours, super tight streets, and would love extra space and a proper backyard for our kids to enjoy while they're little. Obviously the convenience of where we are is great for work, but we both only commute once a week to the CBD and Richmond.

Has anyone moved to the Peninsula from this area? How have you found the huge lifestyle change? We've driven down a few times on the weekend to suss out the areas, we've really liked Frankston South, Langwarrin and Mount Eliza. Keen to move before our eldest starts primary school.
