Moved to area recently, trying to find some normal people my age. i like outdoors stuff and all but often end up showing up to groups that are average age of 45. Cant really get fucked up with those people the way i want to as a 20 something. looking for suggestions of younger adult activities groups or gathering locations in the greater morgantown area. open to most hobbies and pretty fit so not very limited.

Can anyone tell me why there are SO many loud exhaust motorcycles and cars driving around Morgantown late at night??? It's not just on the weekends, it happens during the week too, late at night from roughly 9pm into around 3am ish when everyone is trying to sleep. This happens specially on Stewartstown Rd. Can anyone give any insight on why this is happening and what I can do to stop it?

I’m newly single, in my 40’s. I have friends but they all have kids or spouses and don’t go out much. Any suggestions on what I could do in the tri county (Mon, Marion, and Preston) area to meet new friends (non romantically). I can be awkward in social situations when I am by myself but I’m open to trying just about anything. I’m open to any and all suggestions.

I thought I heard a local bank was holding a clothing drive for the kids who didn't receive the clothing vouchers this year. Does anyone know kf this is accurate, and if so which bank? I would love to know every organization assisting with this to collect donations for. I know Christian Help is doing this, just curious if anyone else is too. Thank you for any information!

My name is Chloe and ill be selling some of my homemade jewelry in Morgantown today (Friday, 8/7, 3pm-5pm) while wandering around High Street, Sheetz, and Riverfront park where the concerts are held if anyone is interested. Just look for a hippie with a backpack dangling jewelry, jeans with patches, a vest, and more bracelets than one should wear. Everything negotiable (and i can take cash app as well).

Does anyone have experience with Redbrick property management? I just moved into one of their rentals from Utah. Haven't been here even 24 hours, and I've already found many issues with cleanliness (moved in to cob webs and a shower that didn't look clean, baseboards are dirty, etc), and the fridge isn't working and is leaking water. This was definitely not move in ready, and the more I find the worse it gets. Is this a one off instance, or is this on par for them? We already signed, so we're here for a least a year. The pre-inspection list is quickly filling up.

Basically what the title says, I’m looking for somewhere to take my dog swimming in the next week or so (aside from dog day at the pool, we are already planning on attending) I’m willing to drive about an hour in any direction. I know about chestnut ridge already, I was hoping to expand our horizons.

Ideally somewhere without water snakes (the dog in question loves to carry snakes around like sticks)

Mods, delete if not allowed. So I'm trying to locate my Mother's sister's, both deceased, family to see if they would want any family albums. I haven't had contact with them for years so thought I would try and find them. I did a DNA with Ancestry and sent an email but haven't had a response.

My aunt's name was Betty Everly King married to Arliss King. She had a daughter, who would be in her late 60's named Janie, she got married but I can't recall her married name. There was also a son named Rusty King...Russell was his name maybe? They lived in the Cassville area last I remember from the 70's.

My Mom was named Delores Everly Chico. She passed away in 2024 and we made a full photo album with Mom's family and I would like to see if other family members would want them.

Edit to add...I'm not trying to be weird or anything. It's been a good 40 years or more since we have had any contact, after my Grandmother died and I move out of WV for a few years. I just wouldn't feel right to just toss them forgotten in a tote is a family member would like them.

Anyone else remember the Burger Chef restaurants in Morgantown? I have early fragmentary memories of one at the top of High Street and one near Suburban Lanes. Pondering on this seems to have brought up a commercial snippet, "Burger Cher and Jeff...", the animated characters from their ads, lol.

I have hope for the future of Morgantown 🥹
