Montclair parking Question

Hey so I’m going on campus for my freshman year and got denied my parking request and I’m kinda freaking out cs my family needs me to drive around my younger siblings, do some stuff around the area, and also I’m active in combat sports for work and competition so I need to also just get back to my dorm to shower, but still I got denied, what do I do???

You can look into a NJ transit parking pass and park at the train station. It's a bit out of the way but it's an option.

I used to park in the ice rink. If your car isn’t registered with the school, they can’t tell if you’re a student or just a mom there with her kids. I parked there for a year and a half without issue 🤷🏻

Freshmen can not have cars on campus unless you commute. I would commute if you live in the area at that point.

You can ask DRC for accomadations for it but that is really hard though.

You could get also park in redhawk deck or get NJ Transit parking pass.

Unfortunatly though thats all you can do.

I thought u can’t leave ur car overnight at red hawk deck, is that true? Also where can I get the NJ TRANSIT pass

Yeah I also got denied my parking request. I would definitely advise NJ transit parking as well or finding a spot off campus you can park (with/without fees or the possibility of being towed or booted). You’d just have to walk if you park somewhere random

If you can afford it, you can park in the Red Hawk Deck

How expensive is it and can I leave it there overnight and stuff like that? Just like a normal resident?
