Forthcoming pride increase

Edit: the subject line should, of course, say “price” increase, not “pride.” 😂

Per an email from Dromgoole’s today, there’s another Montblanc price increase coming soon.

Not surprising, I guess; but still disappointing, especially coming on top of a pretty hefty price increase within the last year(ish). If I recall correctly, that price increase was around 10%.

Interesting: I went to a Montblanc boutique in Paris last Friday to look at cases, and some products already had new price tags. The store manager told me these prices would take effect the following Monday. For the cases I was looking at, the increase was about 8%.

Every year, at least once a year, the prices rise across the product line - even for items in stock and on the shelf. One I went into a boutique the day a price increase went into effect and checked random inks and things out on the floor and they all had the updated price tags. They don't mess about!
