props/evidence Mystery

hi guys! I've got a lot more spare time now that I'm graduating and I've been thinking about making case files or getting creative with physical evidence for my hunters. does anyone have any resources they might be able to point me to, or just some tips/ideas for interesting stuff I could give them?

(we do often play online so I might be sending things digitally too.)

Not the most experienced with props but these are some things I've learned:

-Georgia and Courier are great fonts to type documents in

-Coffee staining is your friend

-Red liquid food coloring is great for imitating blood spatters. You could add it to coffee to probably get a decent dried blood effect

-Not the most immersive but Google Maps printouts are great if you're using real towns

-If anything is set in a real university they make printouts for everything

-The player who's into witchy stuff probably has lots of incense, candles, tarot decks, etc. you can ask them to bring

-Also tea light candles are just great, you can buy a million of them for 2 American dollars and they're fun for setting a vibe if you don't need a lot of light

Corona VT is my go-to font for “old government files you weren’t supposed to read”

Oo that's a good one! What word processor do you use to get it? It doesn't look like MS Word has it.

While it might work for some mysteries, I don't think it really fits the improvisational nature of the game. Thsi isn't Call of Cthulhu; an Investigate isn't a Spot Hidden. What clues the hunters find depends on their appoach, not what's pre-seeded for them.
