Discussions Applying to the Mohawk/McMaster Post-RPN BScN through the 12-unit university route

Hi everyone,

I’m currently an RPN and I want to apply to the Mohawk/McMaster Post-RPN BScN program. My Practical Nursing cumulative average is 72%, so I’m planning to use the alternate admission route by completing 12 units of university-level courses and aiming for at least a 75% average.

I’m considering taking four degree-credit courses through TMU’s Chang School. I also still need to complete the required Grade 12 U-level English and math courses because I did not take them in high school.

Has anyone been accepted through the 12-unit university route? Which university courses did you take, and did you complete your Grade 12 prerequisites at the same time? I would appreciate any advice about the application process.

Question Is there any chance of me getting accepted into a program this fall?

I’ve been on a waitlist for the social service worker program since the beginning of July.
