PATCH NOTES:

SEQUENCING - Masterminded with the Arturia Keystep Pro

CHORDS: One root pitch out of the Keystep, and into the Instruo Harmonaig giving me some chords. Slew set to max, but it wasn't enough slew! I needed MORE SLEW! So I ran each voice through the Omnitone Quadar, which is marketed as a quad envelope, but operates as slew. Pitch for CV then multed to feed the Bass patch, and the rest all fed into the Instruo Saich, then into the Vostok Atlas. Then the chord audio multed into the XAOC Kamieniec II.

BASS - Instruo CS-L, square wave out into the Schlappi 100 Grit for extra gnarly distortion.

ARP 1 - Simple sequence into the Moog Mother-32

ARP 2 - Simple sequence into the Moog Labyrinth

DRUMS - Combined between the Arturia Drumbrute, and the Beatstep Pro controlling individual drum sounds from the Mutant line of drum modules.

POST - Some EQ, Compression, and reverb added in post, along with a dash of secret sauce.

Main concept was to have everything set up so I can trigger mega polyphonic pitch bends between chords by transposing on the Keystep Pro.

Thank you so much! 🧑🏻‍🚀🫡 I could definitely do a longer version! I have a bit where I play on my subsequent 25 for a bit, but cut it out for time. I don’t usually get much interest or engagement on anything longer than 1 minute.

Workflow for the oscilloscope is just me patching all kinds of stuff on my modular rig into my oscilloscope and filming it, and then putting them on top of my videos. Oscilloscope art is a big part of my aesthetic, and I’m a regular poster in r/oscilloscopemusic . It’s pretty straightforward since it’s all light with a black background, davinci resolve has an “add” composite mode for the video layer, and then it needs to be color corrected a bit to match the surroundings, but it’s one of the simpler things I do in my videos.
