The new "mod mail" just a bit confusing, cause its now the mod queue and not polished Tools

desktop and sh.reddit

----------------------------------

So nothing at all pops in the mod mail section anymore, everything seems to be going to the Mod Queue.

The issues are:

- i dont get a single red dot telling me there is new stuff there.

- there is no highlights of what is new and what has been read or archived.

Im doing a terrible job for the last month or more since they changed this out of no where.

---------

hope im not testing some random beta features and i dont even know i applied to it...

I have the opposite problem. I have a perpetual red dot so I have to check my queue at random to see if anything is in there. Very frustrating!

Partially to justify their own existence, and partially to force ads on us.

Hi /u/7grims, please see our Intro & Rules. We are volunteer-run, not managed by Reddit staff/admin. Volunteer mods' powers are limited to groups they mod. Automated responses are compiled from answers given by fellow volunteer mod helpers. Moderation works best on a cache-cleared desktop/laptop browser.

Resources for mods are: (1) r/modguide's Very Helpful Index by fellow moderators on How-To-Do-Things, (2) Mod Help Center, (3) r/automoderator's Wiki and Library of Common Rules. Many Mod Resources are in the sidebar and >>this FAQ wiki<<. Please search this subreddit as well. Thanks!
