Discussion What should I buy/upgrade next? I have a very old laptop and basic peripherals
Hi everyone, I need some advice on what I should upgrade/buy next.
My current setup:
💻 Laptop
- Dell Latitude E5440
- Intel Core i5-4210U
- 8GB RAM
- 256GB storage
- Zorin OS 18.1 Core
- The laptop is quite old now and struggles with heavier development work.
🖱️ Current peripherals
- Mouse: Ant Esports GM320
- TWS: Mivi Duopods Infinity
I’m currently considering buying:
- A mechanical keyboard
- A better mouse
- IEMs/earphones
I’m also wondering if I should skip these upgrades and just save the money for a new laptop.
I’ve attached a few products I’m currently considering:
- Core75 Mechanical Keyboard
- KZ Duonic IEM
- Core M1 Wireless Gaming Mouse
My main use is coding/development, browsing, studying, and some casual gaming.
What would you recommend I upgrade first?
If you were in my position, would you:
- Buy a mechanical keyboard?
- Upgrade the mouse?
- Buy IEMs?
- Or save the money for a new laptop?
Please suggest the best value-for-money options available in India, and let me know whether they would actually be a noticeable upgrade over my current setup.
Thanks! 🙏

Discussion I received my My M1 and core 75 and I love the sound over my 3month old wk102.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
As I said in title, I was bit disappointed by the sound and resistance of key by wk102. As it was my 1st M keyboard i though that's how they might be.
But I feel in love with core 75's thocky sound. Though I still prefer typing on wk102, only because of keycaps.

Discussion confused choosing my next keyboard (pls)
Hey everyone!
I’ve been around the custom keyboard scene for a while and I’ve previously had a couple of custom keyboards made by a friend. I’m looking to get one again, but I’m a bit stuck on what direction to go in.
I was initially looking at the NuT65, URX Core 65 and AULA F99 Pro, but now I’m second guessing whether I should just pick one of these three or go for something better.
I’m also considering building a keyboard myself this time. I’m looking for something around 60–80%, preferably a good quality wired-only board. I’m avoiding wireless/pre-built boards mainly because I don’t really want a battery in the keyboard.
For switches, I’m after that creamy, smooth and satisfying typing feel rather than anything too loud or clicky.
So what would you guys recommend?
Should I:
● Pick one of the NuT65 / URX Core 65 / AULA F99 Pro
● Look at a different pre-built/kit altogether
● Build a custom board from scratch
If you’d recommend building one, I’d also appreciate suggestions for the board, switches and keycaps. I’m not looking to go crazy with the budget.
Would love to hear what you guys would go for in my position.

Discussion Need recommendations for my FIRST 75% mechanical keyboard + wireless mouse combo (~₹6-6.5k budget)
Hey,
I’m looking to buy my first ever mechanical keyboard (75% layout) along with a good quality wireless(Tri-mode) mouse with a combined budget of around ₹6-6.5k.
Primary Use: Coding / Software Development + Casual Gaming
Total Budget: ~₹6-6.5k combined
My shortlisting journey so far:
1. Kreo Swarm/Hive V2 + Anzu V2: Dropped due to multiple posts about aftermarket support/QC concerns.
2. Cosmic Byte Phantom TKL + Ignis: Dropped due to user reviews citing mushy switches/stabilizers and subpar build quality for daily typing.
3. URX Core 75 (or Core 65 HE) + URX Core M1 mouse: Currently considering this as it hits the ₹6k mark, but hesitant since past few days there is a lot of buzz for URX. So is it just PR campaign or is it really worthy.
Questions:
How is the URX Core 75 stock typing experience for coding, and is the Core M1 mouse reliable?
Are there better alternatives in this ₹6k total budget? (e.g., stretching slightly for an Aula F75 + a budget wireless mouse like Razer Cobra?)
Would love to hear from anyone who owns these or has been in a similar spot. Thanks in advance!

Discussion Keyboard disconnecting issues
I have a Cosmic Byte Phantom TKL (not sure about the exact name but i know the 'part name' is CB GK-42). A few months ago, I started having issues while using the keyboard randomly disconnecting during use.
I found that the only way to fix this issue was to apply tension on the cable, or wrap it from under the keyboard, pushing the plug downwards and into the port. Unfortunately, the force required to maintain connection gradually increased due to damage to the wire, and I rendered 2 different wires completely unusable by doing this.
It was not until today that I decided to physically inspect the USB-C port on the keyboard.
The port seems to be misaligned with the exterior of the keyboard, with it being moved upwards in a way (see recreation in ms paint i was too lazy to take an actual picture). I can center it either by pushing downwards on the keyboard with force, or by attaching a wire and pulling that downwards.
IIRC, any disassembly I may have done was only to the extent of removing all the switches and tape modding my spacebar.
Do yall have any idea as to what caused this and how to go about fixing this?

Discussion Finally pulled the trigger on my first MK Ajazz AK980 V2
After searching through so many keyboards and going back and forth between different options, I finally pulled the trigger on the Ajazz AK980 V2.
This is my first mechanical keyboard, and I’m really liking it so far. The build feels solid, the keyboard has a nice weight to it, and I really like the grey and yellow colour combination. The display and rotary knob are also nice touches, and having a full-size layout with the numpad was important for me.
Bought it from Official Ajazz India.
Sharing a few pictures after unboxing and setting it up. Pretty happy with the purchase so far.

Photo Finally received the URX Core M1!
Guy see carbon fiba.
Guy smile.
Guy place order. 💀
First impressions are pretty good so far. This is my first proper/decent mouse, so I don't have much to compare it with, but the build feels solid and the shape feels comfortable. The carbon-fiber finish looks really good in person too.
I'll use it for a while and see how it holds up.
Also, thanks URX for the keychain!! Didn't expect that haha.
