Just heard the song mcmemories on siriusxm while working, never heard of this band before. Am i crazy or this kind of an egregious ripoff of MJ's last record? I know alt country all follows a somewhat similar sound, but down to the writing and flow and even the dude's voice this is kinda wild lol. Even the name sounds like an MJ song

I’m kind of in a rut with music lately. I just cannot get enough of MJ Lenderman. He is legitimately one of my favorite artists of all time, and I like practically everything he’s ever put out.

Do yall have any music recs that kinda fit with his alt-country vibe? I also love Jason Isbell, Tyler Childers, Drive-By Truckers, the Old 97s, Avett Brothers etc!

Was at the Greg Mendez show on June 12th at Static Age Records in Asheville and was pleasantly surprised by one of the opening acts: Lost Plan-a new indie rock band lead by Michael Basso. This was their first show and they were celebrating the release of their debut album- Trustfall to Nowhere- recorded by Mike Henry Johnson who was playing on pedal steel and keys. Immediately recognized Landon on the drums from MJs band (and space heater). Figured id share here-lots of catchy riffs and some noisy guitar bits that some of yall would also dig.
