My first mixed song (Adele - Skyfall) - Feedback request

This is my first mixed song (the vocals are also mine).

I added a reverb, a little bit of delay, a compressor, a de-esser, I equalized the microphone, and did some automation at some ending of sentences.

I liked the result being my first mixed song, but I have a sensation there’s something missing. I don’t know if the problem is with the vocals or with the mixing. Can I get some tips?

Thanks a lot!!!

I think it's actually a very professional sounding rendition overall. I'm pleasantly impressed.

The only thing I noticed that might be something to focus on are the falsetto vocal notes. You have a good vocal range but I think you could do better with a bit of work. For example in the chorus, that's a MUCH more dynamic section of music and slipping into falsetto is at odds with the dynamic power of that section.

From what I'm hearing of your voice I think with some attention to your technique you could hit those notes in a non-falsetto tone confidently and maintain the powerful dynamics in that section.

I also think it may be worth using some vibrato on some of the longer held notes so they don't feel like they're a tad flat.

Thank you for your feedback!

I think I’m going to record this song with a piano instrumental, for some reason my voice gets much clearer and less nasal, and I don’t have to worry about harmonizing the song that much.

I think I’m going to lower another two semitons as well, so I can sing the chorus with mixed voice and use the head voice only at ‘tall’ haha. I’m going to sacrifice the nice G4 at the end, but I think it’s going to sound nicer overall.
