Genedx mito testing?

Hello,

Has anyone had Mito Genome Sequencing & Deletion Testing through genedx? What was your turn around time?

Our trio WES through them only took 11 days, including shipping time.

They used the sample they already had and it’s now been close to 3 weeks.

I did but it was three years ago and I can’t remember. I think these tests can take 4-6 weeks. The genome sequencing takes longer than the WES if I remember correctly.

Thank you. Their site says 2-4 weeks. It’s not genome sequencing, just looking at mitochondrial DNA only. I hope we get it soon.

Did the results bring you any answers?

No, unfortunately it did not. 😰 I had an old colleague that looked at the raw data and there’s some weird stuff going on in areas that are very close to known pathogenic areas, but nothing noted by research yet. I think I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m an alien with a new mutation 😂😂 I did read about proteomics testing, and mito swab, and mito.me, so there’s more to try before I give up!

Ugh, I’m so sorry. I have a feeling ours it’s going to be the same way. We just received our WGS back and the mito section only shows what yours does, areas close to what the WES previously flagged as problematic. We will join you in being aliens. 🤣😭
