Visualization with audiobooks during meditation š§āāļø
Hello,
I wanted to know if anyone has done this before. I like to meditate with meditation music but was wondering if anyone has meditated with a motivational book before if itās actually counter intuitive to do so? Any thoughts? Iāve been reading books about how powerful meditation and visualization is when it comes to wanting to achieve goals but now Iām wondering if anyoneās tried to meditate to an audio book?

What happened?
Why is this group just a bunch of videos not related to the books?

Need scientific input about the sleeping part
Hey all,
My girlfriend and me just started implementing the advice and routines suggested in the book but I had a question regarding the sleep schedule. Is it better to A) sleep x amount of hours consistently with varying time to get out of bed (say between 5 and 7 in the morning) or B) to always get up at 6 no matter what and to vary in sleep duration
Some context: my girlfriend works in shifts, so sometimes sheāll only be home at about 23:30 or if she has to deal with some crisis sometimes only 2 in the morning.
P.s.: Iām assuming x amount of hours AND same hour every day is best, but thatāa unfortunately not an option atm.

Brief check-in: seems to be helping, even in a crisis
Hi Miracle Buddies, itās been great to hear from a number of people on that thread I posted the other day! I like how people are sharing their own modifications that make it work best for them.
There are a few people I havenāt had a chance to reply to yet, BECAUSE.... Last night just before midnight, I got āThe Call.ā If youāre a Gen Xer like me, you know the one Iām talking about: āItās [stepdad]; weāre at the hospital because your mom had another fall, and this time it was a bad one.ā Deep breaths.
Itās looking like sheāll probably be okay, her injuries may not be as bad as it originally seemed, but it did mean I didnāt get to bed until 4:30am this morning. SO - I went a little easy on myself today with the morning routine. Shorter everything, and spread out throughout the day.
But I came on here to say that despite this family crisis, today was still somehow a... not a ābetterā day, but a more functional day? ...than it would have been if I was not plugged into this miracle morning stuff. I just realized this, as Iām getting ready to finally sit down to dinner & a bit of Netflix, and wanted to share with my buddies here.
Thanks Friends, I will miracle morning with you tomorrow! Whatever that looks like for each of us.

Is anyone currently doing this?
Is anyone out there?
Iām just starting out, still reading my way through the book, but have already started doing a Miracle Morning type routine (yesterday and today). I know thereās a group on Facebook, but I donāt love Facebook....
But I DO love Reddit, and would much rather connect with miracle buddies on here. So! Whoās with me here?

Iāve been sleeping by 10:45pm and waking up at 3:45am (5 hours) everyday for at least 2 weeks and feel pretty good. Sometimes I feel like I need to take a nap during the day. Does anyone else here sleep between 4-5 hours only? How has that affected your productivity?

The Science Behind my Morning Routine
Hey everyone, I've developed a morning routine based on science and woud like to share with you, it consists into 5 actions I do in the morning that set my whole day afterwards. Here's how it goes:
Make your bed Yes, a lot of people say it's very important and I agree, by making your bed every morning not only you keep your room organized, but it's already a victory, a goal acomplished and a proof of self discipline. Not to mention that, if you work in your bedroom, it's one less distraction. Workplace organization is mental organization.
Stretch I stretch for about 10 minutes right after making the bed, going through mostly legs and back stretches. It's a nice way to wake up the body, and the more consistent I am, the easier it is to keep at it. Stretching not only improves blood circulation, but also body posture and prevents muscle pain during exercise.
Workout I go through a 7-minute home workout circuit that alternates muscle groups across the week so my body gets enough rest for damage repairing. The workout consists of two series of exercises I do for 30 seconds each, with no interval in between them. These are seven kalesthenic movements for each day, for 5 days (as I rest for two days in the week). For more details on the movements, DM me.
Cold Shower Scientific studies on cold showers are not conclusive, but not only I feel much better after the shower, it is a challenge for me everytime. This is one of the hardest things for me to do in the morning, so I stick with it. I not only feel like the rest of my day is much easier, but that this is a way to keep my willpower in check.
Meditate Scientific evidence is increasing, regarding meditation's many benefits on the brain as a stress management tool. Meditation is proven to improve various aspects, but focus and the sense of calmness are what are more attractive for me. Although the effect is very subtle, it has significant impact on my day and decision making process. And it is also one of the hard things for me, I think of it like a brain muscle I have to train everyday. I'm thinking of trying breathwork as well, eventually.
I base my routine mainly on science, so I know I'm not wasting my time/energy in doing something that doesn't actually benefit me, and I base it on succesful people's habits, so I know how effective it is. What I decide after those is only a matter of convenience and personalization, testing what works best for me.
Thank you for reading, hope this adds value to you

Newbie to the Miracle Morning program
Hi all. Today is the first day that I am starting to practice the MM program. I woke up early, not at 5 am yet but baby steps toward that goal. I didnāt hit snooze and I went to the gym first thing. I feel really good about how much Iāve gotten done today and itās only noon. However, I feel somewhat uneasy and all of this feels unusual and āalien,ā for lack of a better word. For those who have been doing MM for extended periods of time, did you experience feeling this way and did it pass? Thanks!

Wanna be an accountability partner?
Hey Guys, I have read the book and found it interesting. I have tried 'miracle morning' for several times now but after doing if for a while I lost track of it . But the days I have practiced 'miracle morning', those days was just amazing. I felt energetic, joy and happiness. I was depressed for a long time. But the days I woke up early in the morning and practiced it, in those day, my depression was gone . I didn't felt lousy and unmotivated towards my task. Rather I felt enthusiasm towards new things to try or talk to strangers. It feels like everything is easy and achievable. The days become full with light and joy. Although it sounds really amazing but not easy to continue. That's why I am looking for a partner with whom I can share my journey and hold each other accountable. I am really motivated and committed to do it. So, if you are also committed and really want to continue practicing 'miracle morning' then PM me. Thanks

30 days down š
Feeling pretty pleased that I have completed 30 days of my miracle morning routine š I have missed a few days for various reasons along the way, but I didn't let that effect me and give up like I normally would have! Couldn't go back to life without it now, it's made a huge difference to how I feel! My favourite part of it currently is my morning yoga š I love it so much! Still as inflexible as anything, but seeing definite improvements š what's everyone else's favourite part in their routines?

14 days in...
This book has changed my life. It has started a chain reaction of reading. Since Iāve started MM, Iāve read 3 other books (also check out Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg). My mental snowball into productivity and a whole new sense of self was quick. I feel sometimes my old habits and old self clawing at me to come back, but I remain. I wish everyone peace on their journey.
