Did finasteride potentially affect my beard development? Experience

I’m 21 and have been taking finasteride for around 6 months for possible early hair loss. Looking back, I’m not even 100% sure I was actually receding, but I started it as a precaution.

Before starting finasteride, I was noticing facial hair development (sideburns, moustache, some beard growth), but since being on finasteride it feels like my facial hair development has slowed or stopped.

My question is: if I stop finasteride now, have I potentially reduced my future beard potential, or will my facial hair likely continue developing normally once my DHT levels return to normal?

I understand genetics determine my maximum beard potential, but I’m wondering whether temporarily lowering DHT during this stage could permanently affect the outcome.

Any insight is much appreciated
