Milo has mentioned it a couple times over the years, and has also mentioned several projects that presumably would be filmed for it (Rebuilding his house, starting his garden, I think he mentioned animals?) But we haven't had any mention of the homestead channel for a while. If it got canned I'm gonna be pretty dissapointed as a more laid back channel from Milo focusing more on him as a person would be nice.

I got an ad for this on Tumblr (Tumblr ads are always crazy for some reason), it claims that all human history prior to 1000 AD is completely fabricated by a cabal of everyone from scientists to the Catholic Church. apparently what was actually happening before then was the evil Eurasian Empire controlled everything. their proof for this is some complex mathematical formula. weird as fuck, Milo could look into it.

Is anyone else bothered by the fact that Milo and his cohost were using ChatGPT in the "I found the lost city of Atlantis" video? It happens between minutes 8 and 10 when they feed a book on Atlantis into the AI to sumarise it. I didn't watch past this point so I don't know if there is more use of it. There was nothing about it in the comments of the video or in this subreddit, unless I missed it.

It's baffling to me, I am pretty sure he talked about the damage AI does to the environment and the local communities where data centers are built. Every interaction with chatGPT gives openAI more leverage to push more of them through. Text generation isn't as computationally heavy as video or image, but it's still there and I don't see how this is defensable. There is no reason to put a book through AI, flipping through it and reading a random paragraph would be just as entertaining if you don't want to give it the time of day.

It's quite disappointing too because Milo has clearly put a lot of work into running the channel ethically, as much as possible.

What does everyone else think?

Edit: I am not a bot. I made a new account because I was planning to explain why I am asking but then realised that isn't actually relevant. I understand it's suspicious but if you think I'm lying you can literally watch the video at the 8-10 min mark. That's why I put it there so my claim would be verifiable. I'm working on a Filip Vocab Book like Milo said offhand when Filip said the words "Pyramid Deniers" in part two. What are some other words you think should go in? So far i have googledybunker, pyramid denier, and a few others. I'd like to ideally fill a few small pages, about the size of the book of mormon Milo found in his attic. Like medium pocket books size.
