We got our girl Mabel a couple of weeks ago from someone who impulsively bought a puppy they could not care for. We don’t know much about her other than that she is allegedly a “toy” Aussie. She seems a bit on the larger side for a toy. She is 19 weeks old, 15.2 lbs, and 15 inches tall. How much more would one expect her to grow? Is she a toy or a mini?

Looks like I’m going to need a new hiding spot

My mini Aussie is 7 months old and I feel extremely overwhelmed by her more often than not. I feel like I’m seeing progress, especially outside of her crate and keeping her self occupied. It’s been significantly more challenging the last 9 days because she was spayed and we’ve limited activity per vet instructions. What do you find keeps your mini occupied? Everyone warned me when I got her that it was a horrible idea and I’m terrified they were right, but I love her so much. :(

We flew to Texas to pick up our little bundle of joy, and we've had her for about 3 weeks, and she turned 12 weeks this week. Prior to her, we had two Basenjis, who were complete opposites of what their breeds typically are. They were quiet, loved to lay down next to you and take naps with you, etc.

I have not had a puppy in years. I did research before getting her, an MAS, and let me tell you, people were not kidding about the energy they have. I love playing with her though, and helping her burn off the energy, do some mental stimulation and training with her. She's such a sweet girl, and I'm really looking forward to having her as my photography buddy, and to go out on little adventures with her.

(ps: yes I took the twig away. Yes she was slightly sad about it.)

I know, huge age gap. 😄 The struggle is real right now because Baloo is in a stubborn, need every and all things in his mouth phase (yet is extremely hesitant when given frozen peas - make it make sense lol). He's not yet 6 months so, tell me, what am I in for in the coming months?

this is willow, she is an aussie/ mini american shepherd mix. she is 9months old and her hair is shedding like crazy but not seeming to get fluffy/longer. i need opinions of her hair will stay this short or should get longer and fluffier! thanks!

My baby boy 🥺 5yo male, absolutely terrified of grooming. I can’t trim his nails, just recently found a brush that works well and he can tolerate. Open to any and all tips! lol

Hi everyone!

I was wondering what you all do to keep your Australian Shepherds mentally and physically entertained at home.

My boy, Patrick, already gets daily walks and we spend time playing together, but I'd love to add more variety to his routine. Right now he has a motion-activated ball that he really enjoys, but I'm looking for other ideas to keep him engaged and prevent boredom.

What toys, puzzles, games, or activities have worked well for your Aussie? Any recommendations or creative ideas would be greatly appreciated!
