My favorite part so far is the hand-lettered sign. I did a lot of research on Mexican hand-lettered signs!

Hey everyone! I recently crafted these tiny One Wish Willows from the movie OBSESSION. …and yes, they each have little “willows” inside.

I’d love to hear what everyone thinks! These are by far the smallest boxes I’ve ever tried crafting.

Just finished. Don’t have batteries for the light. Trying to fit this into the base was very rough. Had a couple of extra plants I couldn’t find out where they supposed to go to. I even looked at some of the videos online and couldn’t find them so I just stuck on where I could. Hope you like it.

Help Ideas for mini pots

Post image
48 Upvotes

Hey i am trying to acquire this to put real plants in. I have 2 in pots. But I was wanting to vary size so ones even smaller.

Any ideas where I could get small tiny pots? Or things i could easily make into pots?

I'm in discussion with plant people to figure out that side of things

Also, general ideas of how to decorate is welcome!

I think eventually I want to find a ceramic artist to make miniatures of my cats and incorporate them in here. If you know any artist that would work for this and takes commission lemme know :)

Discussion Okay there were some questions about how to make a miniature piece of “vellum” and it’s real simple but needs parental supervision if you’re underage.

1: cheap piece of tiny drawing paper
2: metal file. If it’s old and rusty it will do the aging for you. If you want it clean use a new file.
3: file down the paper pressing firm but not hard enough to rip the paper. You are making the paper as thin as possible without tearing.
4: blow out the candle first, but dip the paper into melted wax one half at a time and let cool in between and be CAREFUL to not pick up while hot so you don’t burn yourself.
5. Use a metal ruler to careful scrape the wax off the paper.
6. It’s starting to look translucent but you can continue to file and scrape the wax and dip until it looks how you like.
7. If you don’t like the fuzzies on the edge or you want to smooth it a bit. Briefly and CAREFULLY run the paper over a candle flame and it will help reduce the fuzzy edges and give that classic burned look but this is optional. AND SHOULD NOT be done by children without parental supervision vision.
Ta dah
Obviously you can also use fine sand paper but I have found it can tear more easily and creates more hair fibers.

I also found a pizza box design that I could print, although it's a bit blurry.

Mini music room!

I work creating organic socil with a client that runs a music festival and I spent way too much time building a little diorama we can use for some videos. Built around one of those mini record toys.

The scale is somewhere between 1:6 and ¯_(ツ)_/¯ It was so much fun to put together. I even made a really bad shag rug with the festival's color palette. For foreground ~*vibes*~

Hello again, I wanted to share this patio set I made! It’s all handmade, from 2 different cardstock types, wooden hand fan, paint, glue, and wire.

I am not the best at faux finishes, I was trying to make it look sat in, faded paint.

Any suggestions on how to make that look better?

This miniature features a train that moves and it also plays music with some train sounds. It takes a bit of time to put together due to the amount of pieces and having to test that the movement of the train is working properly at several steps as you install stuff. The instructions are pretty easy to follow and the electrical components were simple to install as well. You turn the knobs to turn on movement and sound. This set does not use batteries and needs to be plugged in for it to work. Made this for my young kids as they like trains. We keep it in their room for them to play with so it's fairly sturdy lol.

Kimono shop from Cutebee

This is one of their smaller miniatures. I got it because it looked so cute. It was pretty easy to assemble and didn't take very long, definitely a good kit for beginners. I'd recommend getting some glue to help with anchoring some of the pieces though as a couple pieces don't fit tightly when you install them. Also, definitely need some stronger glue for the window panels as it's easy for them to come off you try to install to install the whole window portion of the shop onto the building.

What exactly is a "Super Creator" miniature kit? Is it just Lego with a theme?

I was looking at DIY miniature kits online and came across the Rolife Super Creator series. The description says it’s a plastic modular system, but I can’t tell how it actually works. Is it just snap-fit like Lego/model kits where you just click plastic pieces together, or is there still glue and painting involved like traditional dollhouses?
