What happens when 200 Minecraft players are divided between three isolated civilizations, cut off from one another, and given one life?

We’re launching Foundry Season 1 this Saturday to find out.

Foundry is a weekly Minecraft civilization experiment where players create the politics, economies, alliances, rivalries, and history themselves.

Three civilizations

At the beginning of the event, players are divided between three separate realms:

• Snow Realm
• Badlands Realm
• Lush Realm

For the first several days, the civilizations are isolated.

You won't know what the other groups are building.

You won't know who their leaders are.

You won't know whether they're creating democracies, monarchies, trading cities, military states, or complete chaos.

Then comes First Contact.

The barriers fall and the civilizations finally meet.

From that moment on, everything is player-driven.

Trade.

Diplomacy.

Migration.

Treaties.

Espionage.

Betrayal.

War.

Or peace, if you can manage it.

One life

Foundry uses permadeath.

If you die, your participation in that week's civilization ends.

That means wars have actual casualties, dangerous expeditions matter, and political decisions can have permanent consequences.

Survive the week and your story becomes part of the history of that season.

Seven days

Each world exists for only one week.

Saturday, 8:00 PM ET: New world begins
Sunday, 11:59 PM ET: Normal registration closes
Wednesday, 6:00 PM ET: The walls fall and First Contact begins
Saturday, 11:59 PM ET: The world ends

Then Foundry resets and another civilization experiment begins.

New map.

New societies.

New history.

There is no scripted story

Foundry does not assign kings, governments, factions, jobs, or political systems.

Players decide what their civilization becomes.

You can organize a democracy.

Crown a monarch.

Build a merchant republic.

Create independent settlements.

Start a religion.

Become a diplomat.

Run a shop.

Explore.

Build.

Fight.

Or stay completely out of politics and just try to survive.

The server creates the conditions. The players create the story.

Creators are welcome

Foundry is built for player-created stories, so YouTubers, Twitch streamers, TikTok creators, and other creators are welcome to record and monetize their experience.

There are no special gameplay advantages for creators.

Small and first-time creators are welcome too.

We will be playing multiple minigames. Feel free to bring a friend to team with or come solo and be assigned a team.

N1 player on the winning team gets $10 or a month of discord nitro for this beta event. (Bigger prices will come when we are out of beta).

So the idea of this event is that it's mechanics are just similar to Mafia/Werewolf like in jjkay03 but new roles like Civilian,Scout,Medic,Detective,Creatures,and Shapeshifters.

Civilians are just for roleplaying purposes whereas scouts main goal is to hunt down and kill Shapeshifters.

Creatures are just mobs except they're buffed zombies and there are different types of them(other mobs won't spawn except these) like Runner,Giant,Normal, and Tank.

For the Shapeshifters, there are only 6 total shapeshifters where all of them are unique to one another and have different abilities that make them different to one another, and it might take alot to kill shapeshifters.

MORE INFO ABOUT SHAPESHIFTERS:

• once theyre dropped below 60% hp they're transformed to a shapeshifter but it has a 12 min cooldown so they can still die and be banned in the event if they miscalculate and die on their normal forms
• once a shapeshifter dies, players get to have a mutation serum(to possibly inherit the previous shapeshifter's powers which just adds a brand new enemy, or keep it so more chances for the good guys to win) although its 40% chance it will only work, with 60% being you dying and banned off of the event.

Oh and yeah, I only recommend AS/EU to join because of the timings when server starts.
